Yuna Shiraiwa
is a former Japanese figure skater. She is the 2018 CS Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy, 2018 CS Asian Open silver medalist, the 2017 Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy, Asian Trophy silver medalist, and the 2018 Coupe du Printemps bronze medalist. At the junior level, she is a three-time ISU Junior Grand Prix medalist (two gold, one silver), and two-time Japan Junior Figure Skating Championships, Japanese Junior national silver medalist. She finished within the top five at three World Junior Championships (2016 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, 2016, 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, 2017, 2019 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, 2019). The 2019 Internationaux de France was the third event of the 2019–20 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. The 2015–16 figure skating season began on July 1, 2015, and ended on June 30, 2016. During this season, elite skaters competed at the 2016 European Championships, Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, and World Championships. They also competed at elite events such as the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating at the Grand Prix Final, and the Challenger Series. Shizuka Arakawa
is a retired Japanese figure skater. She is the 2006 Olympic champion and the 2004 World champion. Arakawa is the first Japanese skater to win an Olympic gold medal in figure skating and the second Japanese skater to win any Olympic medal in figure skating, after Midori Ito, who won silver in 1992. She is also the second Japanese woman to win a gold medal at the Winter Olympics, following skier Tae Satoya. She was the only Japanese medalist at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Arakawa retired from competitive skating following her Olympic win and began skating professionally in ice shows and exhibitions. She also works as a skating sportscaster for Japanese television. The ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (titled the ISU Junior Series in the 1997–98 season) is a series of international figure skating competition, junior-level competitions organized by the International Skating Union.
