Ysgol Penglais School
Ysgol Penglais School is an 1118 comprehensive school situated in the town of Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, West Wales. It offers education to approximately 1,100 pupils aged 11 to 18. The school was established in 1973 and teaches mainly through the medium of English. Estyn reports An Estyn report following an inspection in March 2019 stated "Ysgol Penglais is judged to have made sufficient progress in relation to the recommendations following the most recent core inspection." "As a result, Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education and Training in Wales is removing the school from the list of schools requiring significant improvement." Waunfawr
Waunfawr (''gwaun'' + ''mawr'', ") is a village and community, SE of Caernarfon, near the Snowdonia National Park, Gwynedd, in Wales. Description Waunfawr is in the Gwyrfai valley, on the A4085 road from Caernarfon to Beddgelert. It contains the Waunfawr railway station on the Welsh Highland Railway between Caernarfon and Porthmadog. Waunfawr was historically part of the parish of Llanbeblig, which also included the borough of Caernarfon. The Local Government Act 1894 directed that parishes could no longer straddle borough boundaries, and so the part of the parish of Llanbeblig outside the borough of Caernarfon was made a separate parish called Waenfawr. The official spelling was changed from Waenfawr to Waunfawr in 1957. Rural parishes such as Waunfawr were converted into communities in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972. The post of Archbishop of Wales () was created in 1920 when the Church in Wales was separated from the Church of England and disestablished. The Most Rev. Andrew Thomas Griffith John (usually known as Andy John; born 9 January 1964) is the current Archbishop of Wales, of the Church in Wales.
