Yakult
is a Japanese sweetened probiotic milk beverage fermented with the bacteria strain '' Lacticaseibacillus casei'' Shirota. It is sold by Yakult Honsha based in Tokyo. The name "Yakult" was coined from ''jahurto'', an Esperanto word meaning "yogurt". A Yakult lady (ヤクルトレディー; ''Yakuruto redi-''), also known as an Yakult auntie (ヤクルトおばさん; ''Yakuruto obasan''), is a woman who sells Yakult products as an employee or delivers the products door to door to individuals at their homes. ''Lacticaseibacillus casei'' is an organism that belongs to the largest genus in the family ''Lactobacillaceae'', a lactic acid bacteria (LAB), that was previously classified as ''Lactobacillus casei''. was a Japanese microbiologist. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is the self-regulatory organisation of the advertising industry in the United Kingdom.
