Xyza Diazen
Xyza R. Diazen-Santos (born May 3, 1986) is a Filipina politician and teacher who served as a city councilor for Marikina's Second District from 2010 to 2019. Early life Diazen was born on May 3, 1986, in Marikina. She is the daughter of Rogelio and Evelyn Diazen. After graduating from Parang High School, Diazen was elected as one of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councilors of Marikina in the 2002 elections. While serving as SK councilor, she took up a degree in secondary education at the National Teachers College, wherein she was a MAPEH department officer and a dance troupe member. Marikina (), officially the City of Marikina ( fil, Lungsod ng Marikina), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 456,159 people. It is located along the eastern border of Metro Manila, Marikina is the main gateway of Metro Manila to Rizal and Quezon provinces through Marikina–Infanta Highway. It is bordered on the west by Quezon City, to the south by Pasig and Cainta, to the north by San Mateo, and to the east by Antipolo, the capital of Rizal province. 2010 Marikina Local Elections
Local elections were held in Marikina on May 10, 2010 as part of that year's Philippine general election. In this election, the mayoralty and vice mayoralty were contested, along with the sixteen seats in the city council and the city's two seats in the House of Representatives. Vice Mayor Marion Andres was defeated by the Liberal representative from the second district Del De Guzman. An electoral swing analysis (or swing) shows the extent of change in voter support, typically from one election to another, expressed as a positive or negative percentage. A multi-party swing is an indicator of a change in the electorate's preference between candidates or parties, often between major parties in a two-party system. Del De Guzman
Del Reyes de Guzman (born January 9, 1963) is a Filipino politician who served as the 11th Mayor of Marikina from 2010 to 2016. He had previously served as Representative for the city's lone district from 2001 up to its division in 2007, wherein he served as the representative for the second district until 2016.
