XE-TU
''XE-TU'' was a Spanish-language television program broadcast by Televisa in Mexico from 1982 to 1987. It was created by Reynaldo López and produced by Carla Estrada. Format XE-TU was a variety weekly show, which had contests, music and entertainment acts, which was hosted by René Casados, Erika Buenfil, Victoria Ruffo, Gabriela Rivero, Marcela Páez, Daniel Martín, Jorge Alberto Aguilera, Roxana de Antuñano, Adela Noriega, Gabriela Michel, among others. It had a duration of half an hour and it became a very popular program in the youth segment. The program was broadcast from Monday to Friday at 7:00 p.m. through the Canal de las Estrellas (channel 2). Several music and acting Mexican stars emerged from the show. Casados at the beginning of the broadcasts, would say as part of his greeting "always smile and the force will be with you", which was a catch phrase that became popular in Mexico during those years. René Casados
René Casados Morales is a Mexican actor best known for his roles in telenovelas. Erika Buenfil
Teresa de Jesús Buenfil López (; born November 23, 1964), commonly known as Erika Buenfil, is a Mexican actress, TV host and singer. She is best known for her lead roles in several successful telenovelas including ''Amor en Silencio'' (1988), ''Marisol'' (1996), ''Tres Mujeres'' (1999–2000) and ''Amores Verdaderos'' (2012–2013). Miguel Ríos Campaña (born 7 June 1944) is a Spanish singer, composer, actor. He is one of the pioneers of rock and roll in Spain. Biography Ríos was born in La Cartuja, a neighborhood of Granada. Sombrero Verde
A sombrero (Spanish , ) is a type of wide-brimmed Mexican men's hat used to shield the face and eyes from the sun. It usually has a high pointed crown, an extra-wide brim (broad enough to cast a shadow over the head, neck and shoulders of the wearer) that is slightly upturned at the edge, and a chin strap to hold it in place. Flans
Flans are an all-female Mexican music group, which enjoyed popularity from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. Its members were the singers Ivonne Margarita Guevara García, Ilse María Olivo Schweinfurth and Irma Angélica Hernández Ochoa. They were generally known as Ivonne, Ilse, and Mimí. Career Beginnings The three girls were initially cast in the mid-1980s for a TV show to be called ''Fans'', which was to feature chats and sing-alongs with guest stars.
