"X-Ray Vision" is a song written by Pete Sinfield and Terry Taylor and first recorded by Moon Martin from his album ''Mystery Ticket''. Martin's recording of the song credits Sinfield, Taylor and Martin as the writers. It was later covered by the freestyle music group TKA, released as a single from the album ''Scars of Love (album), Scars of Love'' in 1988. Their cover of the song -- credited to Sinfield and Taylor only -- reached No. 26 on the ''Billboard'' dance/club play chart. A music video was also produced for the song. Moon Martin
John David "Moon" Martin (October 31, 1945 – May 11, 2020) was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. Early years Born in Altus, Oklahoma, United States, he was originally a rockabilly artist as a member of the Oklahoma-based band The Disciples, who moved to Los Angeles and adopted the name Southwind in 1967. At this time, their style shifted towards country rock. Southwind released three studio albums before disbanding in 1971. They enjoyed moderate success, with two of their singles charting nationally: "Ready to Ride" (No. 127 in 1969) and "Boogie Woogie Country Girl" (No. 105 in 1970). Peak of success Martin gained recognition in the 1970s as a pop artist and composer. Peter Sinfield
Peter John Sinfield (27 December 1943 – 14 November 2024) was an English poet and songwriter. He was best known as a co-founder and lyricist of King Crimson. Their debut album '' In the Court of the Crimson King'' is considered one of the first and most influential progressive rock albums ever released. Sinfield's lyrics are known for their surreal imagery, often involving common fantasy concepts, nature, or the sea. They often also deal with emotional concepts and, sometimes, storyline concepts. Later in his career, he adapted his songwriting to better suit pop music, and wrote a number of successful songs for artists such as Celine Dion, Cher, Cliff Richard, Leo Sayer, Five Star, and Bucks Fizz. TKA is an American freestyle/house boy band who were most prominent in the 1980s and early 1990s, particularly in New York City,and Miami.
