Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four clockwise, anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Wittstock
Wittstock/Dosse is a town in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district, in north-western Brandenburg, Germany. Geography It is located in the eastern Prignitz region on the Dosse River near the confluence with its Glinze tributary, about east of Pritzwalk and northwest of Berlin. Wittstock is situated in a terminal moraine landscape south of the Mecklenburg Lake District. Town structure After the incorporation of several suburban villages in December 1993 and again in October 2003, Wittstock became the 6th largest town in Germany by area. Speedway Wolfslake is a German motorcycle speedway team who race at the Eichenring, 30 kilometres northwest of Berlin in Germany. The track is located in the Krämerpfuhl forest on Am Krämerwald 6, 16727 Nr. Oberkrämer. History Speedway was founded at the Eichenring in 1980, although the first official race meeting took place after the sand track was replaced by a regulation size 335 metres circuit in 1981. The opening meeting attracted 15,000 spectators on 29 August 1981. The team began racing as MC Eichenring Wolfslake and hosted the Peace and Friendship Cup three times in 1983, 1986 and 1988. 2020 Polish Speedway Season
The 2020 Polish Speedway season was the 2020 season of motorcycle speedway in Poland. Unia Leszno won the Ekstraliga and were awarded the gold medal and declared Polish Team Champions. The teams finishing second and third were awarded silver and bronze medals respectively. KS Toruń won the 1. Liga and Wilki Krosno won the 2. Liga. Individual Polish Individual Speedway Championship The 2020 Individual Speedway Polish Championship final was held on 7 September at the Stadion im. Alfreda Smoczyka in Leszno.
