Windblown
''Windblown'' is an upcoming action roguelike video game developed by Motion Twin, and co-published by Motion Twin and Kepler Ghost. It launched in early access for Windows on October 24, 2024, with a full release anticipated for 2026. Gameplay In ''Windblown,'' the player controls a Leaper, an anthropomorphic creature in a world made up of floating islands. The Leapers, who live in the Ark—a village of their kind—work together to explore the nearby Vortex, fighting off Sentinel robotic creations that patrol the islands within it, while locating survivors, materials, and gear to bring back to the Ark. The character can use up to two weapons with various combination attacks, along with other gear and powerups they gain while exploring the Vortex. If the Leaper dies, they are returned to the Ark, losing their gear but retaining materials, which allow them to unlock new gear and abilities for future exploration. Danger (musician)
Franck Rivoire (born 21 March 1984), better known by his stage name Danger, is a French electronic musician. Biography History Rivoire's musical history started at an early age, when his parents introduced him to the piano and saxophone. Growing up, he played in both jazz and punk bands, and other interests included skateboarding and metal music. Rivoire got his first synthesizer after seeing a friend use one and convincing his parents to buy one for him, too. His interest in electronic music was pursued further when he began using Amiga and Atari computers to make chiptunes, a hobby that he still practices. Before he started using the name "Danger", Rivoire trained to be a graphic designer and worked as one professionally. When not working, he practiced digital music production. Motion Twin is an independent video game development studio, that initially specialized in online video games and has most recently worked on Roguelike, roguelite games. Founded in 2001, the company is a worker cooperative enterprise based in Bordeaux, France. History Motion Twin was founded in 2001 as a private limited company in France. In 2004, they became a worker cooperative with equal salary and decision-making power between its members. The name Motion Twin refers to an animation technique, called Inbetweening, motion tween, and the red star in the logo was chosen due to its revolutionary connotations. ''Dead Cells'' is a 2018 roguelike-Metroidvania game developed by Motion Twin and Evil Empire (company), Evil Empire, and published by Motion Twin. The player takes the role of an amorphous creature called the Prisoner. As the Prisoner, the player must fight their way out of a diseased island in order to slay the island's King. The player gains weapons, treasure and other tools through exploration of the procedurally-generated levels. ''Dead Cells'' features a permadeath system, causing the player to lose all items and other abilities upon dying. A currency called Cells can be collected from defeated enemies, allowing the player to purchase permanent upgrades.
