Elworthy
Elworthy is a small village and civil parish in the Brendon Hills south-east of Watchet, and west of Taunton, in Somerset, England. The parish includes the hamlet of Willett. History On the Brendon Hills, about from the village, are the Elworthy Burroughs, a British encampment, and several tumuli. The parish of Elworthy was part of the Williton and Freemanners Hundred. Willett House was built around 1816 as a country house by Richard Carver (Architect) for Daniel Blommert. In the grounds is the Willett Tower a high folly in the form of a ruined church tower. Its date of construction is uncertain but it was recorded in 1791 and is believed to have been built in 1774 with funds raised of £130 by public subscription. Willett Cove () is a small cove on the south side of Seabee Hook, a recurved spit formed 1 nautical mile (1.9 km) west of Cape Hallett at the entrance to Edisto Inlet, Victoria Land. The Willett Range () is the range extending north from Mistake Peak and running for as a high shelf along the edge of the continental ice to the Mackay Glacier, in Victoria Land. The range is breached by several glaciers flowing east from the plateau. Name The Willett Range was named by the New Zealand Northern Survey Party of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (CTAE; 1956–58) for R.W. Willett, Director of the New Zealand Geological Survey, who gave valuable assistance throughout the expedition and in the compilation stages after its return. Location The Willet Range runs from south to north along the eastern side of the Antarctic Plateau. Willett Hall (originally Lancer Hall) is an academic facility and previously served as a 1,807-seat multi-purpose arena in Farmville, Virginia. It was built in 1980 and was home to the Longwood University Lancers men's and women's basketball teams until 2023. On December 3, 2016, the basketball court was named after former Longwood basketball player Jerome Kersey, officially making the hardwood Jerome Kersey Court. On October 4, 2016, Longwood was the host for the 2016 United States vice presidential debate. Willett Hall was the venue for the debate. Prior to the debate, the building underwent a modest renovation to the front entrance and lobby in preparation. Willett House
The Willett House is a historic house at 6563 Mount Holly Road, about east of Lisbon, Arkansas. The single story wood-frame house was built in 1926 by Scott and Mary Willett, and represents a well-preserved local example of Craftsman styling. The house is L-shaped, with two intersecting gable roof sections. It is sheathed in novelty siding, and has two interior chimneys. The northern facade features a wide hip roof extending over a porch supported by six battered wooden columns decorated with false battens. This porch wraps around the side elevations. The rest of the roof line has exposed rafter ends, and is further decorated with triangular knee brackets at the corners. The property also includes four outbuildings, including a c. 1900s barn.
