Wang Hung-wei
Wang Hung-wei (; born July 10, 1964) is a Taiwanese politician affiliated with the Kuomintang, who has served in the Legislative Yuan representing Taipei City Constituency III since 2023. She is the deputy secretary-general of the Kuomintang legislative caucus. Formerly a journalist, Wang was a New Party member from 2006 to early 2013, when she joined the Kuomintang. She was re-elected as a member of the Taipei City Council for five terms. Since 2017, she has also served as the deputy chairman of the Kuomintang Cultural Communication Committee. She succeeded Chiang Wan-an in a 2023 by-election, and was reelected to a full term in January 2024. Early life and education Wang Hung-wei was born in Keelung. Legislative Yuan
The Legislative Yuan () is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of China (Taiwan) located in Taipei. The Legislative Yuan is composed of 113 members, who are directly elected for four-year terms by people of the Taiwan Area through a parallel voting system. Originally located in Nanjing, the Legislative Yuan, along with the National Assembly (electoral college) and the Control Yuan (upper house), formed the tricameral parliament under the original 1947 Constitution. The Legislative Yuan previously had 760 members representing constituencies in all of China (includes provinces, municipalities, Tibet Area, and various professions in Mainland China). Until democratization, the Republic of China was an authoritarian state under the '' Dang Guo'' system. United Daily News
''United Daily News'' (UDN; ) is a newspaper published in Taiwan. It is considered to support the pan-Blue Coalition in its editorials. History UDN was founded in 1951 by Wang Tiwu as a merger of three newspapers, ''Popular Daily'' (全民日報), ''National'' (民族報), and the ''Economic Times'' (經濟時報). The three newspapers formally merged in 1953. The newspaper is owned by Wang Tiwu's daughter, Wang Shaw-lan. UDN is the flagship newspaper of the United Daily News Group which is chaired by Duncan Wang. The evening edition of the paper, the ''United Evening News'', was first published on February 22, 1968. is a Japanese light novel series by Yūsaku Igarashi, with illustrations by Shaa. Enoch Wu
Enoch Wu (; born 31 December 1980) is a Taiwanese politician and businessman. Wu is the founder of Forward Alliance, a Taiwanese NGO focusing on national security. After graduating from Yale University, Wu worked at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. In 2013, he left the finance industry to pursue public service in Taiwan. He served in the Taiwanese Army's Special Forces Command from 2014 to 2015. The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is a centre to centre-left Taiwanese nationalist political party in Taiwan. Fai Hrong-tai ( Chinese: 費鴻泰; born 7 July 1954), also known by his English name Alex Fai, is a Taiwanese statistician and politician who has been a member of the Legislative Yuan since 2005. Luo Shu-lei (born November 28, 1952) is a Taiwanese politician, accountant, and member of both the People First Party and the Kuomintang. She served in the Legislative Yuan from 2007 to 2016. 2012 Taiwanese Legislative Election
Legislative elections were held in Taiwan on 16 January 2012 for all 113 seats in the Legislative Yuan. For the first time, the legislative elections were held simultaneously with the presidential election. Lin Chih-chien (; born 27 May 1975) is a Taiwanese politician. He was the mayor of Hsinchu City from 25 December 2014 to 8 July 2022. Early life and education Lin earned his bachelor's degree in business administration followed by a master's degree in technology management from Chung Hua University's College of Management in 2008. 2022 Taiwanese Local Elections
Local elections were held in Taiwan on 26 November and 18 December 2022 to elect county magistrates (city mayors), county (city) councilors, township mayors, township councilors and chiefs of village (borough) in 6 municipalities and 16 counties (cities).
