Wall Of Sound (record Label)
Wall of Sound is a British independent record label based in London, England, and was founded by Mark Jones in 1994. They were considered to be "at the center of the revolution" of the big beat movement in the mid- to late-1990s, releasing much of the UK material at the height of the scene alongside Brighton's Skint Records. The label is most known for introducing internationally renowned big beat acts such as Propellerheads, The Wiseguys and Les Rythmes Digitales. History The label's first release was the acclaimed compilation album Give 'Em Enough Dope Volume One, which featured many acts such as Mekon, Kruder & Dorfmeister, and The Wiseguys before they became more notable. The compilation is also considered to be foundational to the Big Beat movement of the mid- to late-90s. Grace Beverly Jones (born 19 May 1948) is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, model and actress. Ceasefire
A ceasefire (also known as a truce), also spelled cease-fire (the antonym of 'open fire'), is a stoppage of a war in which each side agrees with the other to suspend aggressive actions often due to mediation by a third party. Blak Twang
Blak Twang (born Tony Olabode in England), who also uses the pseudonyms Taipanic and Tony Rotton, is a British rapper who grew up in Deptford, Lewisham, South-East London. Blak Twang is admired for his live performances, and is also respected for the effectiveness with which he includes South London slang and lexicon, including references to specific South London locales, in his music without being too obvious about it. The Bees (known in the United States as A Band of Bees) are an English band from Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. Jon Carter
Jon Carter (born 1970 in Essex, England) is an English electronic musician. He initially rose to prominence in the 1990s as a big beat DJ. However, as his career progressed both his productions and his DJ sets began including a variety of musical styles. From 2004 onwards, he began to scale back his DJing due to tinnitus, but simultaneously launched a second career as a businessman, co-founding a company that runs a chain of live music pubs across London. DJ and production career Carter began his musical career playing in bands when he was at Southampton University. Dropping out of his studies, he moved back to London and started to learn studio engineering, ending up working in the No U-Turn studios which at the time was involved in the nascent jungle scene of the early 1990s. Joseph Anthony "Amp" Fiddler (May 17, 1958 – December 18, 2023) was an American singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and record producer from Detroit, Michigan. His musical styles included funk, soul, dance and electronica. He was probably best known for his contributions to the band Enchantment, and as part of George Clinton's Parliament and Funkadelic groups from 1985 to 1996.
