WWHK (1450 kHz) is a classic country AM radio station licensed to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, United States, serving the Myrtle Beach area. WCSE (AM)
WCSE was a radio station on 1450 kHz in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, that began broadcasting in 1948. It was deleted, as WKEL, in 1996, following a long period when it was off the air. History WMRA went on the air on June 10, 1948. It was owned by the Myrtle Beach Broadcasting Company and broadcast with 250 watts from studios in the Ocean Front Hotel. Not long after going on the air, Joe C. Ivey sold control of the company to P. T. Watson and L. B. Hyman. A year later, they sold the station to Elizabeth Evans. In 1954, the Coastal Carolina Broadcasting Corporation, a group of three former CBS announcers, acquired WMRA for $28,000 and changed its call letters to WMYB on July 29, 1954. Freestyle Music Park, formerly called Hard Rock Park, was a music-themed amusement park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Built on , the park was located at the intersection of US 501 and the Intracoastal Waterway. It included part of the former Waccamaw Factory Shoppes in Fantasy Harbour, and its headquarters was located in Mall 3. ''The Fabulous Sports Babe'' was a semi-fictional character who hosted various American sports radio broadcasts. The program, hosted by Tampa Bay area resident Nanci Donnellan, was syndicated across the United States on both ESPN Radio and ESPN2, from 1994 until 2001. She is noteworthy for being one of the few female broadcasters in sports radio, and was one of the first female sports radio call-in hosts in America.
