WTCR Race Of Macau
The Macau Guia Race - Kumho TCR World Tour Event of Macau, previously Guia Race of Macau, WTCC Guia Race of Macau, WTCR Macau Guia Race and Macau Guia Race - TCR Asia Challenge, is an international touring car race, and currently a round of the TCR World Tour. It is held on the temporary 6.2 km Guia Circuit on the streets of Macau, the Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China as part of the Macau Grand Prix weekend. Before 2005 when the World Touring Car Championship began, the Guia race had been run annually as a one-off international touring car race. Guia Circuit
The Guia Circuit, or Circuito da Guia, is a street circuit located at the southeast region of the Macau Peninsula in Macau. It is the venue of the Macau Grand Prix, Macau Grand Prix #Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix (1967–), Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix and the Macau Guia Race. The circuit consists of long straights and tight corners, and features the characteristics of a typical street circuit - narrow, bumpy and limited overtaking opportunities. However, there are two special features that can rarely be found in other street circuits - variation in altitude (over between highest and lowest point of the circuit) and an ultra long main straight that allows top speed of on Formula Three cars. Eugen Böhringer
Eugen Böhringer (22January192219June2013) was a German racing driver and hotelier who spent the majority of his racing career on the Mercedes-Benz works team. A specialist in grueling long-distance events, his crowning achievement was victory in the 1962 European Rally Championship. Early life Eugen Böhringer was born on 22 January 1922 in Rotenberg, Stuttgart to Gottfried and Emma Böhringer. By 1925 the family owned a Mercedes-Knight 16/45 PS Tourenwagen, and Emma Böhringer was one of the first women in the Stuttgart area to have a driver's license. Albert Poon Bing-Lit (; born 5 January 1936 in Hong Kong) is a racing driver from Hong Kong, China. He is best known for winning the Macau Grand Prix in 1964, the only Hong Kong driver to win the event. Poon's name is synonymous with the Macau Grand Prix as he holds the record for competing in the most consecutive Macau Grand Prix. Beginning with his first race in 1961, Poon competed for the last time in 1982, the year before the race switched to Formula 3. World Touring Car Championship
The FIA World Touring Car Championship was an international touring car championship promoted by Eurosport Events and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It has had several different incarnations, including a single season in 1987 as the World Touring Car Championship and most recently a world championship (WTCC) that has run between 2005 and 2017. Following the 2017 season, an agreement was reached for the FIA WTCC to become FIA WTCR and use the TCR technical regulations. Super 2000 is an Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA powertrain specification used in the World Rally Championship, the British Touring Car Championship, the World Touring Car Championship, and other touring car racing, touring car championships. The engines were originally 2 L naturally aspirated, and later 1.6 L turbocharged units were allowed producing approximately 280 bhp. The goal of the Super 2000 classification is to allow more manufacturers and privateers to race by reducing the cost of a competitive car. In order to cut costs and shorten development time, the Super 2000 rally cars originally used a common control gearbox and drivetrain made by the French company, Sadev.
