Van Hien University is a university located in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It is a private university established in 1997. Van Hien University presently has ten faculties: Tourism, Economics and Management, Information Technology, Social Studies and Telecommunication, Technologies and Engineerings, Finance and Accounting (including Department of Laws), Foreign Languages, Oriental Studies, Arts, and Medical and Pharmacy. Founded with Decision No 517/TTg by the Vietnamese Prime Minister in 1997, after twenty seven years of development, Van Hien has gone from being a non-state academic institution specializing in Sociology and Humanity to being a private and multi-discipline university offering 39 academic majors and 81 specilizations. District 3 () is an Districts of Vietnam, urban district of Ho Chi Minh City, the largest city in Vietnam.
