Vusi Nova
Snova (born Vusimuzi Nongxa; 4 May 1984), commonly known by his former name Vusi Nova, is a South African singer. Born and raised in New Brighton, Gqeberha, Nova relocated to Johannesburg in 1998 at the age of 14 to pursue his career in music and signed a record deal with Muthaland Records, released ''Walk Into Light'' (2013) and ''Did It For Love'' (2014). Career Nova signed a record deal with EMI Records and released his first album ''Ndimfumene'' in 2009. In 2010, he joined RJ Benjamin for vocal lessons and met Oskido who signed him to Kalawa Jazmee. In 2012, Nova signed with Muthaland Entertainment and began to work on his debut studio album. In 2013, his debut studio album ''Walk Into Light'' was released. It features Moneoa, Veezo, RJ Bejamin and Ishmael. In December 2014, Nova's album ''Did It For Love'' was released. Gqeberha ( , ), formerly named Port Elizabeth, and colloquially referred to as P.E., is a major seaport and the most populous city in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. It is the seat of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality, South Africa's second-smallest metropolitan municipality by area. It is the sixth-most populous city in South Africa and is the cultural, economic and financial hub of the Eastern Cape. Gqeberha was founded in 1820 as Port Elizabeth by Sir Rufane Donkin, who was the governor of the Cape at the time. He named it after his wife, Elizabeth, who had died in India. Oscar Sibonginkosi Mdlongwa (born 29 November 1967) is a South African recording artist, DJ, record producer and businessman. Having been in the music industry for over 26 years, Oskido has reached a prominent status in the South African music industry, more-so in popular youth culture. He is undoubtedly one of the pioneering artists that popularised the Kwaito genre of music outside of the townships of South Africa, and he's been central to the rise of Afro-house and opened doors for the new genre known as amapiano. The 21st Annual South African Music Awards were announced during a gala event at Sun City's Super Bowl arena in the North West province on Sunday night, 19 April 2015. Jessica Mbangeni
Jessica Thembela Mbangeni (22 August 1977 – 31 August 2024) was a South African praise poet and singer. Born and raised in Nqamakwe, Eastern Cape, she rose to prominence after participating on Soweto Gospel Choir in 2002. Mbangeni had also pursued an acting career. In 2013, Mbangeni made her on-screen feature debut in '' Zabalaza'', and appeared as a guest on the television series '' Skeem Saam''. A lead single (or first single) is the first single to be released from a studio album by an artist or a band, usually before the album itself is released and also occasionally on the same day of the album's release date. A similar term, "debut single", is the first single released by a new artist. Release strategies Artists often choose songs that are more up-tempo, yet representative of the album's sound, as lead singles. Such songs are often catchier and attract the attention of listeners. The 27th Annual South African Music Awards were the 27th edition of the South African Music Awards. The award show was broadcast live on SABC1 on 31 July 2021, and was held virtually due to the effects of COVID-19 lockdowns. The nominees were announced on 19 May 2021.
