Christopher Vose (27 January 1887 – 22 August 1970) was an English cross-country runner. He finished 19th in the individual cross-country race at the 1920 Summer Olympics and fourth among British runners, and therefore did not score for the silver medal-winning British team. Dominic Jack Spencer Vose (born 23 November 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Gibraltar National League side Europa. Vose has previously played in the Football League for Barnet, Colchester United, Scunthorpe United and Grimsby Town, having begun his professional career with Fulham and then West Ham United. He has played at Non-league level for Braintree Town, Tooting & Mitcham United, Welling United, Wrexham, Whitehawk, Bromley, Chester, Dulwich Hamlet, Kingstonian, Margate and Radcliffe, as well as a spell in Iceland with Magni Grenivík. Roger Vose (February 24, 1763 - October 26, 1841) was a United States representative from New Hampshire. He was born in Milton, Massachusetts. He moved to New Hampshire in 1766 with his parents, who settled near Walpole. He graduated from Harvard University in 1790. After graduation, he studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1793 and commenced practice. Vose was a member of the New Hampshire Senate in 1809, 1810, and 1812. Laurence Vaux
Laurence Vaux (Vose) (1519–1585) was an English canon regular. He died while imprisoned for being a Roman Catholic priest. Life Vaux was born in Blackrod, Lancashire. Educated at Manchester and the University of Oxford, he was ordained in 1542, and took the degree of B. D. at Oxford in 1556. He was first a fellow, and then, 1558, warden of Manchester College, a parish church which had been endowed as a collegiate by Thomas la Warr, 5th Baron De La Warr, in 1421, and re-established by Mary I of England, in 1557. In 1559 Elizabeth I's ecclesiastical commissioners held a visitation in Manchester College, and summoned the warden and fellows before them. However, knowing what to expect, Vaux had removed himself and the college deeds and church plate (precious vessels used in worship) to a place of safe hiding. Morling College - Perth Vose Campus is a Baptist college located in Bentley, Western Australia. The college is associated with the Baptist Union of Western Australia (Australian Baptist Ministries) History In 1957, the Baptist Churches in Western Australia, under the leadership of Noel Vose, prepared plans for the establishment of the seminary. Opening in March 1963, with Vose as founding Principal, the seminary began classes as the Baptist Theological College of Western Australia in temporary accommodation in Nedlands. In November 1967 a permanent, purpose built facility was opened on land purchased in the Collier Pine Plantation opposite what is now Curtin University in the suburb of Bentley.
