Roger Vose
Roger Vose (February 24, 1763 - October 26, 1841) was a United States representative from New Hampshire. He was born in Milton, Massachusetts. He moved to New Hampshire in 1766 with his parents, who settled near Walpole. He graduated from Harvard University in 1790. After graduation, he studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1793 and commenced practice. Vose was a member of the New Hampshire Senate in 1809, 1810, and 1812. He was elected as a Federalist to the Thirteenth and Fourteenth Congresses (March 4, 1813 – March 3, 1817). Salma Hale
Salma Hale (March 7, 1787 – November 19, 1866) was an American politician, author, editor, and a United States representative from New Hampshire. Early life Hale was born in Alstead, Cheshire County, New Hampshire. He became apprentice as a printer at the age of thirteen and in 1805 edited the ''Walpole Political Observatory''. He was a student of law with Roger Vose, Samuel Dinsmoor, and Phineas Handerson. Career Hale was appointed clerk of the court of common pleas of Cheshire County. He moved to Keene, Cheshire CountyNew Hampshire in 1813. In 1814, he served as the secretary to the commission appointed under the Treaty of Ghent for determining the northeastern boundary line of the United States. John Adams Harper
John Adams Harper (November 2, 1779 – June 18, 1816) was an American politician and a United States Representative from New Hampshire. Early life Born in Derryfield, New Hampshire, Harper attended Phillips Exeter Academy in 1794. He studied law and was admitted to the bar about 1802, commencing practice in Sanbornton. Career Harper was the first postmaster of Sanbornton, then moved to Meredith Bridge (now Laconia, Belknap County) in 1806. He served as clerk of the New Hampshire Senate, 1805–1808, was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 1809 and 1810. He served in the State militia, 1809–1812. Elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Twelfth Congress, Harper served as United States Representative for the state of New Hampshire from (March 4, 1811 – March 3, 1813).
