Villmark Asylum
''Villmark Asylum'' () is a Norwegian horror movie released in 2015. The movie was released to an American audience through Amazon Prime in 2018. Plot An abandoned sanatorium is decaying in a remote forest in the mountains, where an older janitor makes sure that people or animals do not enter the dangerous building. Five contract workers have taken the job of cleansing the massive building from toxins before it is to be demolished. They have to go through over 300 rooms and several kilometres of pipelines in three days. Water starts flooding out of the old pipes making their work more difficult, and an attempt to close the water leads them down to a dark basement labyrinth. Ellen Dorrit Petersen
Ellen Dorrit Petersen (born 4 December 1975) is a Norwegian actress. Life and career Petersen was born in the small town of Tau but moved to Oslo for her professional studies. She attended the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She was active within Rogaland Teater between 2005 and 2006, then went on to work at Det Norske Teatret. Petersen debuted as a screen actress in 2008 with the drama film '' Troubled Water''. She has played leading roles in such productions as the 2014 film '' Blind'', ITV's ''Aber Bergen'', and the Netflix series '' Borderliner''. Harastølen
Harastølen, formerly Lyster Sanatorium, was a tuberculosis sanatorium and later psychiatric hospital in Norway established in 1902, located on a remote hill some 500 metres above Lustrafjorden in Luster, Norway, Luster, Sogn. A 5,000 square metre large building, the sanatorium had its own water power supply, and was accessed by an aerial tramway. History The sanatorium had about 150 patients at any given time and about as many employees, with about 15,000 total patients until its repurposing in 1958, and was the largest one in Norway. Attempted treatments of tuberculosis included being exposed to fresh and dry air, and surgical interventions such as plombage of the lungs and the removal of ribs, until antibiotics led to a revolution in the treatment of the disease in the 1940s. Anders Baasmo Christiansen
Anders Baasmo (born 29 January 1976) is a Norwegian actor originally from Hamar. Baasmo earned his breakthrough in 2003 when he received the Amanda award for his performance in the Norwegian picture '' Buddy''. He won the TV award Gullruten in 2007 for his portrait of Henrik Ibsen in the TV-series '' An Immortal Man'' (''En udødelig mann'') on NRK. Baasmo starred in the Swedish 2008 film ''Arn – The Kingdom at Road's End''. That same year he won Norway's most prestigious actor's award, the Heddaprisen, for his interpretation of Hamlet.
