Anders Baasmo Christiansen
Anders Baasmo (born 29 January 1976) is a Norwegian actor originally from Hamar. Baasmo graduated from the Norwegian Acting Academy in 2000. He started his professional career at the Trøndelag Teater in Trondheim, Norway. He later joined the Det Norske Teatret in Oslo. Baasmo earned his breakthrough in 2003 when he received the Amanda award for his performance in the Norwegian picture ''Buddy''. He won the TV award Gullruten in 2007 for his portrait of Henrik Ibsen in the TV-series ''An Immortal Man'' (''En udødelig mann'') on NRK. Baasmo starred in the Swedish 2008 film ''Arn – The Kingdom at Road's End''. That same year he won Norway's most prestigious actor's award, the Heddaprisen, for his interpretation of Hamlet. Hamar is a town in Hamar Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. Hamar is the administrative centre of Hamar Municipality. It is located in the traditional region of Hedmarken. The Shooting Stars Awards are presented annually by the pan-European network organization European Film Promotion (EFP) to emerging actors from Europe. "Shooting Stars" is an initiative of the EFP for the international promotion and networking of promising up-and-coming actors from the 37 respective EFP member countries. Since 1998, ten talents selected from all over Europe have been presented each year during the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) to the international press, the general public, and the film industry. Thor Heyerdahl KStJ (; 6 October 1914 – 18 April 2002) was a Norwegian adventurer and ethnographer with a background in zoology, botany and geography. Heyerdahl is notable for his ''Kon-Tiki'' expedition in 1947, in which he sailed 8,000 km (5,000 mi) across the Pacific Ocean in a hand-built raft from South America to the Tuamotu Islands. The expedition was designed to demonstrate that ancient people could have made long sea voyages, creating contacts between societies. This was linked to a diffusionist model of cultural development. Heyerdahl made other voyages to demonstrate the possibility of contact between widely separated ancient peoples, notably the ''Ra II'' expedition of 1970, when he sailed from the west coast of Africa to Barbados in a papyrus reed boat. Herman Watzinger
Herman Watzinger was a Norwegian engineer in the area of cooling technique from NTH (now NTNU) in Trondheim and a crewmember on the Kon-Tiki expedition. He was also a Milorg member during the Second World War operation Polar Bear II, which was brought to Trondheim by Captain Leif Hauge.Polar Bear II was the codename for the plan and protection of harbors and port installations in Norway.
