Verica Bakoc
Verica Bakoc (; born May 3, 1999) is a Canadian water polo player who plays for Mediterrani and for the Canada women's national team. Career College and club career Bakoc was part of the USC Trojans side that finished first in the 2018 NCAA Women's Water Polo Championship, second in 2019 and first in 2021. She was also part of the Ethnikos Piraeus side that won the 2021–22 Women's LEN Trophy. International career Bakoc represented Canada at the youth and junior level at the FINA Youth World Championships in 2016 where she won bronze and at the 2019 Universiade and 2019 FINA Junior World Championships. She represented the Canada senior side at the 2017 FINA Intercontinental Tournament, the 2022 FINA Water Polo World League and at the World Aquatics Championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024. 2021–22 Women's LEN Trophy
The 2021–22 Women's LEN Trophy is the 23th edition of the European second-tier tournament for women's water polo clubs. It was a two-legged final that was played in Dunaújváros, Hungary, and Piraeus, Greece on 25 and 30 March 2022. Ethnikos won its second LEN Trophy to become the Greek team with the most titles regarding this competition. Serbian White Eagles Football Club ( sr, Фудбалски клуб Српски бели орлови / ''Fudbalski klub Srpski beli orlovi'') is a Canadian soccer team. The team is a member of the Canadian Soccer League, an unsanctioned soccer league. World Aquatics Championships
The FINA World Championships or World Aquatics Championships are the World Championships for aquatics sports: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo. They are run by FINA, and all swimming events are contested in a long course (50-metre) pool. The event was first held in 1973 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and is now held every two years. From 1978 to 1998, the World Championships were held every four years, in the even years between Summer Olympic years. The 2017 FINA Women's Water Polo World League is the 14th edition of the annual women's international water polo tournament. It was played between November 2016 and June 2017 and open to all women's water polo national teams. After participating in a preliminary round, eight teams qualify to play in a final tournament, called the Super Final from 06 to 11 June 2017. In the world league, there are specific rules that do not allow matches to end in a draw. If teams are level at the end of the 4th quarter of any world league match, the match will be decided by a penalty shootout.
