Durai (director)
J.F.C. Durai (25 February 1940 – 22 April 2024) was an Indian film director who was mostly active during the 1970s. As of 2014, he had directed 46 films in Tamil cinema, Tamil, Telugu cinema, Telugu, Kannada cinema, Kannada, Malayalam cinema, Malayalam and Hindi cinema, Hindi. Though known for his work in commercial cinema, he made women-centric films like ''Avalum Penthaane'' and ''Pasi (film), Pasi'', which won two National Film Award (India), National Film Awards. He served as a jury member of the 58th National Film Awards (India) in 2011. As of 2011, he was the vice president of the South Indian Film Writers' Association. Kausalya (, ) is a queen of Kosala in the Hindu epic ''Ramayana''. She is the first senior queen consort of Dasharatha, who ruled Kosala from its capital Ayodhya. She is the mother of Rama, the male protagonist of the epic. She is a secondary character in the ''Ramayana'', so only aspects of her life are described in detail. Mankombu Gopalakrishnan (1947 or 1948 – 17 March 2025) was an Indian film lyricist, poet and scriptwriter in the Malayalam film industry. Gopalakrishnan wrote more than 700 songs for about 200 Malayalam movies. He also did story, screenplay and dialogue for more than 10 Malayalam movies.
