J.F.C. Durai (25 February 1940 – 22 April 2024) was an Indian film director who was mostly active during the 1970s. As of 2014, he had directed 46 films in Tamil cinema, Tamil, Telugu cinema, Telugu, Kannada cinema, Kannada, Malayalam cinema, Malayalam and Hindi cinema, Hindi. Though known for his work in commercial cinema, he made women-centric films like ''Avalum Penthaane'' and ''Pasi (film), Pasi'', which won two National Film Award (India), National Film Awards. Kausalya (, ) is a queen of Kosala in the Hindu epic ''Ramayana''. She is the first senior queen consort of Dasharatha, who ruled Kosala from its capital Ayodhya.
