Sveti Petar (island)
Sveti Petar is an uninhabited Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea located east of Ilovik. Its area is . On the island are the remains of Benedictine Monastery, which belonged to the former abbey on the island of Susak. Nowadays, there is the cemetery where inhabitants of Ilovik bury their dead. The Adriatic Sea () is a body of water separating the Italian Peninsula from the Balkans, Balkan Peninsula. The ''Croatian Apoxyomenos'' ( hr, Hrvatski Apoksiomen) is an Ancient Greek statue cast in bronze in the 2nd or 1st century BC; it was discovered in 1996 on the bottom of the sea near the Croatian islet of Vele Orjule, southeast of the island of Lošinj. It represents an athlete – ''Apoxyomenos'' ('the Scraper') – in the act of scraping sweat and dust from his body with the small curved instrument called a ''strigil.'' It is the most complete and best preserved among eight known ''Apoxyomenos'' statues.
