Lošinj
Lošinj (; ; , earlier ''Osero''; ; ; ) is a Croatian island in the northern Adriatic Sea, in the Kvarner Gulf. It is almost due south of the city of Rijeka and part of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. The settlements on Lošinj include Nerezine, Sveti Jakov, Ćunski, Artatore, Mali Lošinj and Veli Lošinj. A regional road runs the length of the island; ferry connections (via the island of Cres) include Brestova - Porozina, Merag - Valbiska, Mali Lošinj - Zadar and Mali Lošinj - Pula. Lošinj Airport is on the island. Geography Lošinj is part of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago. The Cres-Lošinj archipelago includes the two major islands Cres and Lošinj, some minor islands Unije, Ilovik, Susak, Vele Srakane, Male Srakane and a number of uninhabited small islets and outcrops. Mali Lošinj
Mali Lošinj is a town in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, on the island of Lošinj, in western Croatia. At the time of the 2021 census, there were 7,537 inhabitants, of whom 86% were Croats. The town of Mali Lošinj itself had an urban population of 5,561. The favourable climatic conditions, the construction of hotels and resorts, foresting, and maintenance of beaches have led to the intensive development of tourism. Veli Lošinj
Veli Lošinj () is a village on the island of Lošinj in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in western Croatia. Veli Lošinj has a mild climate and caters to tourists. It is located 5 km to the southeast of the town of Mali Lošinj, of which it is part administratively. It was an important port and fishing centre until the late 19th century. Today it is known as a tourist and aromatherapy centre. Lošinj Airport
Lošinj Airport is a privately owned public airport 3.2 nautical miles (5.9 km) from Mali Lošinj on the island of Lošinj, Croatia. It is registered for domestic and international traffic. It is one of five island airports in the country (the most notable being Krk island's Rijeka Airport and Brač Airport on the eponymous island). Overview The runway is 900 m long and 30 m wide, and is equipped with 1C signalization, according to the ICAO. A non-precision instrument approach using an NDB located near the city is published. Cres
Cres is an Adriatic island in Croatia. It is one of the northern islands in the Kvarner Gulf and can be reached via ferry from Rijeka, Krk island or from the Istrian peninsula (line Brestova-Porozina). Unije
Unije (; Italian: ''Unie'') is an island in Croatia. It is part of the Cres-Lošinj archipelago, which is situated at the northern portion of the Adriatic Sea. Unije is the third largest island of the archipelago. It is in size, with numerous bays and beaches. Low hills abut the shoreline and are covered with Mediterranean evergreen macchia trees and olive trees. Administratively, it is part of the town of Mali Lošinj. As of 2021, it had a population of 66. The only settlement on the island of Unije bears the same name. It is a typical fishing and farming village which contains 280 houses. Osor, Croatia
Osor is a village and a small port on the Croatian island of Cres, in Primorje-Gorski Kotar county. Administratively, it is part of the town of Mali Lošinj. As of 2021, it had a population of 26. Ćunski
Ćunski is a small village in the central part of the Croatian island of Lošinj. Administratively, it is part of the town of Mali Lošinj. As of 2021, it had a population of 198. It is sheltered from the bora (Adriatic northern wind) and is located on the southern slope of a hill with a view of the western shores of the Kvarner bay. Ilovik
The islands of Ilovik and Sveti Petar are located in Croatia south of the island Lošinj, separated by the Strait of Ilovik (). Geography The only village located on the island of Ilovik is also called Ilovik. The circumference of the island is , and it occupies an area of .
