Clube de Desportos Vasco da Gama (simply known as both Vasco Sports Club, and Vasco SC) is an Indian professional football club based in Vasco da Gama, Goa, part of the same named multi-sports club. Incorporated in 1951, the club is nicknamed "The Port Towners", and competes in the Goa Professional League. Vasco is the first Goan club run under public shareholding. It previously competed in the National Football League, then highest division of Indian football league system. The club also appeared in the I-League 2nd Division in later years. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (also known as Fatorda Stadium) is a multi-purpose stadium in Margao, Goa, India. Border Security Force Sporting Club is an Indian multi-sports club best known for its football team. The club is based in Jalandhar, Punjab, and currently competing in the Punjab State Super Football League. They are one of the dominating teams in Durand Cup and Independence Day Cup of Assam. José Fernandes André Cavaco Miglietti (11 August 1943 – 24 December 2006), known as Zeca, was a Mozambican footballer who played mainly as a defender, either in the center or in the left. Over the course of 8 seasons, Zeca amassed Primeira Liga totals of 140 games, mainly at Benfica. Havildar Peter Thangaraj (24 December 1935 – 24 November 2008) was an Indian football player and a non-commissioned officer in the Indian Army. Thangaraj played for the Indian national side at the 1956 Melbourne and 1960 Rome Olympics. He was voted Asia's best goalkeeper in 1958. Thangaraj was a recipient of Arjuna Award for the year 1967. Thangaraj played domestic club football for both the Calcutta Football League clubs Mohun Bagan and East Bengal. He earned fame during his days with the "red and gold brigade" from 1965 to 1971, and captained the team in 1969–70. He was the first choice goalkeeper for the club over the years.
