Vanna (singer)
Ivana Ranilović-Vrdoljak (born 1 September 1970 in Koprivnica, Croatia) better known by her stage name Vanna, is a Croatian pop singer. Biography As a child, Vanna won prizes in various national children and youth festivals. Her debut was at the 1990 Zagrebfest, a music festival held in Zagreb. In that year she left her hometown to live and study in Zagreb and whilst studying, she performed in a band called BOA singing back vocals. In 1992 her professional career as a singer started when she joined a eurodance band called Electro Team who started to perform as a hip hop and pop rap group and became instant stars. Not only was she a singer but also a co-author and songwriter of all the songs performed by Electro Team. The song "Tek je 12 sati" with which the group turned to a more eurodance sound became a huge hit in 1993, and was popular elsewhere across the former Yugoslavia republics. Goran Karan
Goran Karan (born 2 April 1964) is a Croatian singer-songwriter. He specializes in songs influenced by Dalmatian folk music and is known for his powerful and refined tenor voice. Karan's collaboration with composer Zdenko Runjić led to some of his most acclaimed work, which won him several awards. Biography Karan was the lead singer of Croatian rock group Big Blue, before becoming a solo artist in 1997. In 2000, he represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest, after winning the Croatian pre-selection Dora. Antun Vrdoljak
Antun Vrdoljak (; born 5 June 1931) is a Croatian film actor and director, sports official, and head of Croatian Radiotelevision during the Yugoslav Wars. Between the 1960s and early 1990s he was mainly a film artist. In the early 1990s he became involved in politics and became a prominent member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), which led to his appointment to a series of offices. He was director general of Croatian Radiotelevision (1991–1995), and president of the Croatian Olympic Committee (1991–2000). Neverne Bebe ( sr-cyr, Неверне Бебе, lit=The Unfaithful Babies) are a Serbian rock band, originally formed in Valjevo in 1993 and currently based in Belgrade. Croatia was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2001 with the song "Strings of My Heart", written by Tonči Huljić, Vjekoslava Huljić, and Ante Pecotić, and performed by Vanna. Vjekoslava Huljić (; born on 27 March 1963) is a Croatian lyricist, songwriter, novelist, and writer. Born in Duvno and raised in Split, Huljić emerged as a successful lyricist with several hits from the Croatian group Magazin.
