Goran Karan
Goran Karan (born 2 April 1964) is a Croatian singer-songwriter. He specializes in songs influenced by Dalmatian folk music and is known for his powerful and refined tenor voice. Karan's collaboration with composer Zdenko Runjić led to some of his most acclaimed work, which won him several awards. Biography Karan was the lead singer of Croatian rock group Big Blue, before becoming a solo artist in 1997. In 2000, he represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest, after winning the Croatian pre-selection Dora. In the Eurovision Song Contest, he ended up in ninth place with his song " Kad zaspu anđeli" ("When Angels Fall Asleep"). In 2005 he was one of the judges in ''Hrvatski idol'', the Croatian version of ''Pop Idol''. Karan's song "Ružo moja bila" won the 2005 Split Festival song competition, as well as the 2005 Sunčane skale festival in Herceg Novi. Dorotea Budimir (; born 16 April 1961), better known as Doris Dragović () or simply Doris, is a Croatian singer who has represented Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 with the song " Željo moja", finishing 11th with 49 points, and Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 1999 with the song " Marija Magdalena", finishing fourth with 118 points. Thompson (band)
Thompson is a Croatian ethno hard rock band, founded by songwriter and lead vocalist Marko Perković ("Thompson"), who is often identified with the band itself. The lineup consists of Tomislav Mandarić, Duje Ivić, Ivica Bilić Ike, Ivan Dabro and Ante Padovan. The band name originates from the Thompson submachine gun, a nickname given to Perković while he fought in the Croatian War of Independence. Kornati
The Kornati archipelago () of Croatia, also known as the Stomorski islands, is located in the northern part of Dalmatia, south from Zadar and west from Šibenik, in the Šibenik-Knin County. With length and 89 islands, some large, some small, in a sea area of about , the Kornati are the densest archipelago in the Mediterranean Sea. From northwest to southeast (from the island of Balabra to Samograd), and from northeast to southwest (from Gangarol to Mana) they stretch for .
