Jay Van Noy
Jay Lowell Van Noy (November 4, 1928 – November 6, 2010) was an American professional baseball player who spent all but six of his 1,100-plus-game career in minor league baseball. An outfielder born in Garland, Utah, his only Major League Baseball experience came in the middle of the season as a member of the St. Louis Cardinals. He batted left-handed, threw right-handed and was listed as tall and . Van Noy attended Utah State University, where he excelled in four sports: baseball, football, basketball and track. He was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the tenth round of the 1950 National Football League Draft, but elected to play baseball. Van Noy's six MLB games occurred in June 1951 when the Cardinals recalled him from Triple-A Rochester. He drew a base on balls off Sal Maglie of the New York Giants in his first at bat, but seven subsequent plate appearances produced six strikeouts and Van Noy returned to the minor leagues for good. Junior Van Noy
Junior N. Van Noy (9 August 1924 – 17 October 1943) was a United States Army soldier and a recipient of the United States military's highest decoration—the Medal of Honor—for his actions in the Battle of Finschhafen in World War II. His birthname was Nathan Kilby Van Noy Jr. Biography Van Noy joined the Army from Preston, Idaho in February 1943, and by October 17, 1943, was serving as a private in the Headquarters Company of Shore Battalion, 532nd Engineer Boat and Shore Regiment. On that day, near Finschafen, New Guinea, he manned a machine gun during an enemy attack, refusing to withdraw even after being seriously wounded. He destroyed half of the small enemy force before being killed. For his actions during the battle, he was posthumously issued the Medal of Honor four months later, on February 26, 1944. Van Noy, aged 19 at his death, was buried at Grace Cemetery in his birth city of Grace, Idaho. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ... Kyle Van Noy
Kyle Van Noy (born March 26, 1991) is an American football linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). Van Noy played college football at BYU was selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, with whom he spent his first three seasons. He played his next four seasons for the New England Patriots, where he won Super Bowl LI and Super Bowl LIII. Following a year as a member of the Miami Dolphins, he rejoined New England in 2021. Zachi Noy ( he, צחי נוי; born 8 July 1953) is an Israeli actor. Early life Noy was born in 1953 in Haifa, Israel. At a young age, Noy did stage work for the local Israeli theater "HaSadna" in Haifa. Later, he spent his military service in a military band. Career Noy gained much success after he played Yudale in the successful 1978 Israeli film '' Lemon Popsicle'' (''Eskimo Limon'') which became an Israeli cult film and was followed by a series of sequels. In the following decade Noy participated in all the sequels of "Lemon Popsicle" including a spin-off film called "Sababa". The Van Noy Brothers of Kansas City was the collective name of the four Kansas City, Missouri, brothers who founded the old Van Noy Railway News and Hotel Company, also known as the Van Noy Interstate Co., and known today as HMSHost. They are considered, historically, very prominent members of past Kansas City Society. Through their company, they became symbols of corporate integrity and successful enterprise throughout the west. In 1893, the eldest brother, Ira Clinton Van Noy, started a retail cigar and news business at No. 1076 Union Avenue in Kansas City. Henry Clay Van Noy (April 20, 1881 – November 28, 1938) was a prominent Kansas City, Missouri, businessman and was the last surviving member of the legendary Van Noy Brothers of Kansas City - brothers who founded the company which a century later has evolved into HMSHost company.
