''Vadina'' () is a 1955 Indian Telugu-language drama film, produced by A. V. Meiyappan of AVM Productions and directed by M. V. Raman. It stars Akkineni Nageshwara Rao, Savitri and music jointly composed by R. Sudarshanam and Ashwatthama. The film was a remake of the Tamil film '' Chella Pillai'' (1955). Plot Raghu (Akkineni Nageshwara Rao) is brought up by his brother Narasaiah (B. R. Panthulu) and his sister-in-law Shantamma (Kannamba). Shantamma covers for all mischievous deeds of Raghu, even petty crimes, without bothering to correct him. Soon, he grows into an irresponsible young man addicted to gambling. Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice. His voice suited artists like S. V. Ranga Rao, Relangi and Ramana Reddy. He also sang for others like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, N.T. Rama Rao, Jaggayya and Padmanabham. AVM Productions is an Indian film production studio founded by A. V. Meiyappan. It is the final oldest survived studio in India. The filming studios are located in Vadapalani, Chennai. Ghantasala Venkateswararao (4 December 1922 – 11 February 1974), known mononymously by his surname as Ghantasala, was an Indian playback singer and film composer known for his works predominantly in Telugu and Kannada cinema and also in Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi language films.
