Vader (band)
Vader is a Polish death metal band from Olsztyn. Formed in 1983, the group was founded by then-bassist Piotr Wiwczarek, Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek and guitarist Zbigniew "Vika" Wróblewski. Vader went through several lineup changes over the years, with Wiwczarek as the only constant member. Since 2022, the band has comprised Wiwczarek on lead guitar and vocals, rhythm guitarist Marek Pająk, Marek "Spider" Pająk, bassist Tomasz Halicki, Tomasz "Hal" Halicki, and drummer Michał Andrzejczyk. Starting as a more traditional Heavy metal music, heavy metal group, Vader eventually went to thrash metal, thrash, speed metal, speed, and then in the late 1980s became a death metal band. It would not be until nine years after forming that they managed to release their debut album ''The Ultimate Incantation'' (1992); Vader has released eleven more studio albums since then. Olsztyn
Olsztyn ( , ) is a city on the Łyna River in northern Poland. It is the capital of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, and is a city with powiat rights, city with county rights. Marek Pająk (born 26 November 1977) is a Polish musician. In 2010, he joined death metal band Vader as their rhythm guitarist. Pająk was endorsed by Ibanez and Schecter guitars. Death was an American death metal band formed in Altamonte Springs, Florida, in 1983 by guitarist Chuck Schuldiner (who later became the band's sole vocalist), drummer/vocalist Kam Lee and guitarist Rick Rozz. Formed out of what would become the Florida death metal scene, Death is considered to be a pioneering band in death metal. The band's 1987 debut album, '' Scream Bloody Gore'', has been widely regarded as one of the first death metal records, alongside the first records from Possessed and Necrophagia. Death had a revolving lineup, with Schuldiner, aside from a European tour, being the sole consistent member. The group's style also progressed, from the raw sound on its first two albums to a more complex one in its later stage. Possessed (band)
Possessed is an American death metal band, originally formed in 1982 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Noted for their fast style of playing and Jeff Becerra's death growl, growled vocals, they are often called the first band in the death metal genre, and paved the way for the 1980s Bay Area thrash metal scene, along with Metallica, Exodus (band), Exodus, Testament (band), Testament and Death Angel. The band is also notable for featuring future Primus (band), Primus member Larry LaLonde, who was the guitarist for Possessed from 1984 to 1987. Darth Vader () is a fictional character in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. He was first introduced in the original film trilogy as the primary antagonist and one of the leaders of the Galactic Empire. The Ultimate Incantation
''The Ultimate Incantation'' is the debut studio album by Polish death metal band Vader (band), Vader. It was released in 1992 by Earache Records. A music video was shot for the song "Dark Age", which was directed by Kimmo Kuusniemi and Tanja Katinka. Background and recording The album cover, cover art was drawn by Dan Seagrave. The album was originally recorded at Sunlight Studio with Thomas Skogsberg, but neither the record label or Vader was pleased with the outcome and decided to use another studio because of technical issues. The new studio that they recorded at was Rhythm Studios in England with producer Paul Johnson.
