Uthami Petra Rathinam
''Uthami Petra Rathinam'' is a 1960 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M. A. Thirumugam and written by Aaroor Dass. Music was composed by T. Chalapathi Rao. The film stars K. Balaji Malini and P. Kannamba, with T. K. Ramachandran, M. N. Rajam, Pandari Bai, S. V. Sahasranamam, Kuladeivam Rajagopal and Manorama in supporting roles. It was released on 1 April 1960. Plot The story concerns the problems between the rich man and the poor and the rich man's daughter falling in love in with the poor boy, whose father works for the rich man. Sukumari
Sukumari Amma (6 October 1940 – 26 March 2013) was an Indian actress best known for her works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In a career spanning more than five decades, She has appeared in more than 2500 films predominantly in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, along with few Hindi and one each in Sinhala, French, Bengali, Tulu, English and Kannada films. Sukumari began acting at the age of 10. In 2003, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her contributions toward the arts. She won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Tamil film ''Namma Gramam'' (2010). Sukumari died on 26 March 2013 in Chennai, following a heart attack. Madabhushi Rangadorai (born 8 November 1937), better known by his pen name Randor Guy, is an Indian lawyer, columnist and film and legal historian associated with the English language newspaper '' The Hindu''. Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni (3 November 1935 – 16 August 2004), more famously known as Jikki, was an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh. She sang around 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sinhalese languages. Early life Jikki was born in Chennai on 3 November 1935. Her parents Gajapathi Naidu and Rajakanthamma, a Telugu family, had moved from Chandragiri, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Chennai for their livelihood. Her uncle, Devaraju Naidu, worked as a music composer with the celebrated Kannada theatre legend and movie pioneer Gubbi Veeranna and this introduced the young Jikki to the music and film world. Malini or Kusuma Kumari was an Indian actress who starred in Tamil language and Telugu language films between 1955 and 1962. Although she only appeared in a few films, she co-starred with well-known actors of her era, including N. T. Rama Rao, Sivaji Ganesan, M. G. Ramachandran, S. S. Rajendran, K. Balaji and Chalam.
