Uranostinden
Urdanostindene or Uranostinden is a mountain in Norway. The peak marks the tri-point border between the municipalities of Luster Municipality and Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, and Vang Municipality in Innlandet county. The tall mountain is located in the Jotunheimen mountains and inside the Jotunheimen National Park. The mountain sits about northwest of the village of Vang i Valdres and about northeast of the village of Øvre Årdal. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Mjølkedalstinden to the northeast, Langeskavltinden and Storegut to the east, Langeskavlen to the southeast, and Falketind to the southwest. There is a large glacier located on the east side of the mountain. Storegut is a mountain on the border of Vang Municipality in Innlandet county and Luster Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. The tall mountain is located in the Jotunheimen mountains and inside the Jotunheimen National Park. The mountain sits about north of the village of Tyinkrysset. The mountain is surrounded by several other notable mountains including Uranostinden and Langeskavltinden to the west, Langeskavlen to the southwest, Høgbrothøgdi to the east, and Snøholstinden and Store Rauddalseggje to the northeast. Name The name is a compound word made up of ''stor'' which means 'big' and ''gut'' which means 'boy', therefore together, the name means "Big Boy". Innlandet
Innlandet is a Counties of Norway, county in Norway. It was created on 1 January 2020 with the merger of the old counties of Oppland and Hedmark (Jevnaker Municipality and Lunner Municipality were transferred to the neighboring county of Viken (Norwegian county), Viken on the same date). The new county has an area of , making it the largest county in Norway after the division of the old Troms og Finnmark county in 2024. The region was known as Opplandene or Opplanda since the middle ages. Falketind
Falketind is a mountain in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the Jotunheimen mountain range inside the Utladalen Landscape Protection Area. The mountain is east of the old mountain farm, Vettismorki, and northwest of the lake Tyin. The 1820 ascent was the first known ascent on an alpine mountain in Norway. A climbing party which included Baltazar Mathias Keilhau and Christian Peder Bianco Boeck went via Snøggeken (Falkbreen) and the northern ridge. At that time the mountain was named ''Koldedalstinden'', but Aasmund Olavsson Vinje renamed the mountain ''Falketind'' more than fifty years later. Øvre Årdal
Øvre Årdal is a village in Årdal Municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is the larger of the two primary villages in Årdal. The village is situated at the northern end of the long lake Årdalsvatnet, with the village of Årdalstangen at the southern end. The village has a population (2019) of 3,117 and a population density of . Farnes Church is located in this village. The road ''Tindevegen'' goes from Øvre Årdal, through the Fardalen valley to the village of Turtagrø in Luster Municipality. It's one of the highest elevation roads in Norway. There is also a road which goes south past the lake Tyin to the European route E16 highway which goes through Valdres to Oslo.
