Upper Kurram Tehsil is a subdivision located in Kurram District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The population is 253,478 according to the 2017 census. History In 2014, Upper Kurram's Assistant Political Agent Maqsood Hassan was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau on corruption charges. In November 2017, a US drone strike was carried out on a house in Ghozgarhy, Upper Kurram. This action was condemned by the Foreign Office. Four people were killed in this strike. Dand Aw Patan District
Dand Aw Patan District ( ''ḍanḍ aw paṭān wuləswāləi''; ) is located in the northeastern section of Paktia Province in Afghanistan. It has a population of around 30,551 local residents. The district is within the heartland of the Zazi tribe of Pashtuns. Dand Aw Patan, which translates to Dand and Patan, is connected by road to Khost in the south and Gardez in the west. Khost Province
Khost (Pashto/Dari: ) is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan located in the southeastern part of the country. Zazi Maidan District
Zazai Maidan District (), may also be spelled as Jajai Maidan or Dzadzai Maidan, is located in the northeastern part of Khost Province, Afghanistan. The two "z" letters in Zazai are pronounced the same like in the first name of Hollywood star, Zsa Zsa Gabor. It borders Bak District to the west, Paktia Province to the north, and the Kurram Agency of Pakistan to the north and east.
