Unmaad
Unmaad (pronounced as ''Unmād'') is the annual cultural festival presented by Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Conducted over a period of three days, Unmaad includes events like dramatics, music performances, dances, quizzes, debates, street plays, professional concerts and fashion show. The event has hosted performances by artists such as Amit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan, Farhan Akhtar, Raghu Dixit, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Zakir Khan, KK, Kailash Kher, Lucky Ali, Strings, Jethro Tull and Indian Ocean. Etymology Unmaad derived from Devanagari ''उन्माद'' (pronounced as ''Unmād'') stands for lunacy, hysteria, frenzy, mania, insanity or craze. Benny Dayal
Benny Dayal (born 13 May 1984) is an Indian playback singer. He is a prominent singer in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati and Marathi and more languages films. He has sung more than 3500 songs in 19+ Indian languages. He is a member of the band S5, launched by SS Music TV channel. Formed in 1996, they describe their music as "Bangalore rock" - rooted in a classic rock idiom while Indian in "subtle, inescapable ways". Indian Ocean is an Indian rock band formed in New Delhi in 1990, who are widely recognized as the pioneers of the fusion rock genre in India. Susmit Sen, Asheem Chakravarty, Rahul Ram and Amit Kilam were band members until Chakravarty died on 25 December 2009, after which Tuheen Chakravorty and Himanshu Joshi were officially inducted into the band as replacements. After the departure of Susmit Sen in 2013, Rahul Ram is the only founding member who appeared on the band's debut album ''Indian Ocean''. Sanjeev Sharma has collaborated with them as lyricist on many albums. The musical style of the band can be at best classified as folk and fusion music. Strings () was a Pakistani pop/rock band composed of two members, plus four live band members from Karachi, Pakistan. The band was initially formed by four college students—Bilal Maqsood (vocals and guitars), Faisal Kapadia (vocals), Rafiq Wazir Ali (synthesizer) and Kareem Bashir Bhoy (bass guitar)—in 1988. In 1992 the quartet disbanded, only to make a comeback with Maqsood and Kapadia in 2000. While the initial band rode the new wave of Pakistani pop music, the later lineup ushered a revival in the Pakistani music industry. In 1990 the band signed with EMI Records and released their debut album, ''Strings''.
