University Ramon Llull (, URL; ) is a private university located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain established in 1990. Currently it is made up of several different colleges specializing in different subjects; most of which are located in downtown Barcelona. History University Ramon Llull is named after Ramon Llull, a famous writer and philosopher born in the 13th century. University Ramon Llull was founded by four educational institutions to which others were added later on. The Romance of Evast and Blaquerna (Old Catalan: ''Romanç d'Evast e Blaquerna''), often shortened to ''Blaquerna'' or ''Blanquerna'', is a novel written in Catalan between 1283 and 1285 by the Majorcan Ramon Llull. Esteve Almirall is a Spanish management scientist and an academic. He is a full professor in the Department of Operations, Innovation, and Data Sciences at ESADE, Universitat Ramon Llull. Almirall is most known for his works in Open Innovation, particularly in the contexts of complexity simulations, Smart Cities, and the societal impacts of A.I. Begoña Román Maestre (Petrer, 1965) is a Spanish philosopher, university professor, and researcher. Early life and education Begoña Román was born in the town of Petrer, Province of Alicante. ESADE Law School
Esade Law School is the law school of Ramon Llull University. It is run by ESADE. It was created in 1992 in order to train legal professionals capable of coping with the challenges posed by globalisation. The law school is situated on the Esade campus in Barcelona and has offshoots in Madrid, Buenos Aires and Casablanca. Along with some of the best European universities, the Esade Law School created the European Joint Degree in Business Law (THEMIS Programme) and is the only faculty in Spain to offer students the opportunity to obtain this degree, furthermore, it is the only Law School in Spain to have a Professional Council made up of representatives from all legal professions and over 30 internationally renowned Law firms.
