United States Space Force Honor Guard
The United States Space Force Honor Guard is the official ceremonial unit of the United States Space Force and is assigned to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington D.C. The Honor Guard's primary mission is to represent the U.S. Space Force at all public and official ceremonies within the National Capital Region and abroad when directed by the Military District of Washington. History Raising of the unit On 30 August 2023, the Space Force enlisted 16 new cadre members to stand up the unit. It immediately began representing the USSF at the Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force's Change of Responsibility on 15 September. The United States Coast Guard Ceremonial Honor Guard is a unit of the United States Coast Guard responsible for the performance of public duties. Stationed at the Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Alexandria, Virginia, the unit was activated in 1962. History The U.S. Coast Guard Ceremonial Honor Guard was activated on March 5, 1962 to support Coast Guard ceremonial missions and provide a Coast Guard presence during state occasions, such as the presidential inaugural parade and state and official arrival ceremonies. Prior to this, ad hoc units raised from the Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, New Jersey performed these functions. High Frontier Honor Guard
The High Frontier Honor Guard is the official United States Space Force ceremonial unit assigned to Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It renders honors to local officials and veterans during ceremonies and parades. In conducting its duties, it has an ''area of responsibility'' that consists of the most counties in Colorado and 8 in the western part of neighboring Kansas. Outside of Peterson SFB, it also recruits guardians from Schriever Space Force Base at the request of their unit leadership. Marine Barracks, Washington, D.C. is located at the corner of 8th and I streets, Southeast in Washington, D.C.
