306 Unitas
306 Unitas is a typical Asteroid belt, main belt asteroid that was discovered by Elia Millosevich on 1 March 1891 in Rome. The asteroid was named by the director of the Modena Observatory in honor of the Italian astronomer Angelo Secchi (author of ''Unità delle forze fisiche'') and the unification of Italy. It is classified as an S-type asteroid. In the late 1990s, a network of astronomers worldwide gathered light curve data that was ultimately used to derive the spin states and shape models of 10 new asteroids, including (306) Unitas. The computed shape model for this asteroid is regular, while the light curve displays two maxima per rotation. Lightcurve data has also been recorded by observers at the Antelope Hill Observatory, which has been designated as an official observatory by the Minor Planet Center. Measurements of the thermal inertia of 306 Unitas give an estimate range from 100 to 260 m−2 K−1 s−1/2, compared to 50 for lunar regolith and 400 for coarse sand in a ...

Humani Generis Unitas
''Humani generis unitas'' (Latin; English translation: On the Unity of the Human Race) was a draft for an encyclical planned by Pope Pius XI before his death on February 10, 1939. The draft text condemned antisemitism, racism and the persecution of Jews. Because it was never issued, it is sometimes referred to as "The Hidden Encyclical" or "The Lost Encyclical". ''Humani generis unitas'' was written by three Jesuits under the leadership of John LaFarge. The draft text remained secret until published in 1995 in France (by Passelecq and Suchecky under the title ''L’Encyclique Cachée de Pie XI'') and in 1997 in English as ''The Hidden Encyclical of Pius XI.'' History In June 1938, Pius XI assigned American Jesuit John LaFarge to prepare a draft of ''Humani generis unitas''. Jesuit Superior-General Wlodimir Ledóchowski assigned two other Jesuits, Gustav Gundlach and Gustave Desbuquois, to assist LaFarge.Richard G. Bailey. List Of Empire Ships (U–Z)
A list is a set of discrete items of information collected and set forth in some format for utility, entertainment, or other purposes. A list may be memorialized in any number of ways, including existing only in the mind of the list-maker, but lists are frequently written down on paper, or maintained electronically. Lists are "most frequently a tool", and "one does not ''read'' but only ''uses'' a list: one looks up the relevant information in it, but usually does not need to deal with it as a whole".Lucie Doležalová,The Potential and Limitations of Studying Lists, in Lucie Doležalová, ed., ''The Charm of a List: From the Sumerians to Computerised Data Processing'' (2009). Purpose It has been observed that, with a few exceptions, "the scholarship on lists remains fragmented". David Wallechinsky, a co-author of ''The Book of Lists'', described the attraction of lists as being "because we live in an era of overstimulation, especially in terms of information, and lists help us ...

Housing Complex Unitas
Housing complex Unitas are open gallery–type apartment complex designed by architects Fridrich Weinwurm and Ignác Vécsei. Built in the beginning of the thirties by the city of Bratislava for the underprivileged. It comprises seven objects in a row estate, with austere architectural forms, so characteristic of Weinwurm's puristic work. Initially, it was planned as collective housing project, but the idea of collective kitchen and other shared space was abandoned. Each dwelling is accessible from a balcony oriented to the north - at end of each are the two-room dwellings (50 of them altogether), the oneroom being in the middle (240). Each of the houses has two staircases. The architects have formerly devised built-in furniture and light interior accessories made of steel pipes. Yet, this plan hasn't been carried out. At the time of its creation, this complex was a rare example of functionalist principles applied to a housing project in Slovakia. References {{DEF ...
