Sports Club Unitas (Swedish ''Sportklubben Unitas'') was a sports club in Helsinki, Finland. It was founded in 1905 by sportsmen who had left Reipas Helsinki. Unitas was the first club to win the Finnish football championship title in 1908.''Jalkapallon pikkujättiläinen'', p. 324. Football was the most important sport for Unitas. They played in the first-ever public football match in Finland, against Amateur-Sportverein from Saint Petersburg, Russia in September 1906. Reipas Helsinki
Reipas (July 14, 1948 – September 20, 1971) was a successful Finnish trotter. He was a Finnhorse gelding, and the first Finnish horse to earn over one million marks in one season. Reipas was the best earning trotter in Finland through 1958–1960, and his earnings each season exceeded one million Marks, corresponding roughly to EUR 20,000. He was owned and mostly driven by Aapeli Miettinen. Reipas competed in 1952–1965, winning 348 of his approximately 1300 heats. His greatest win count in one season was 62. Being a gelding, Reipas never had offspring. His statue has been erected in the town centre of his home, Varpaisjärvi. Kaisaniemi () is a part of the centre of Helsinki, Finland, located immediately north of the Helsinki Central railway station and south of Hakaniemi. The most famous part of Kaisaniemi is the Kaisaniemi park, a park covering many hectares right in the city centre. Kaisaniemi is part of the Vironniemi Subdivisions of Helsinki, district and neighbourhood of Kluuvi. The Kaisaniemi district was first founded in the 1820s when Catharina Wahllund, Catharina "Cajsa" Wahllund founded a restaurant in the city centre. The restaurant, which survives to this day, later gave its name to the entire district. The reason for the similarity between the Finnish and Swedish names is that unlike almost every other district in central Helsinki, Kaisaniemi got a Finnish name first, and that name was copied into Swedish, with only a minor orthographic change.
