Kim Eun-jung (curler)
Kim Eun-jung, nicknamed "Annie" (born November 29, 1990) is a South Korean curler from Uiseong. She currently skips her own team on the World Curling Tour. Kim skipped the national team from 2016 to 2018 and represented Korea on home ice at the 2018 Winter Olympics where her team won a silver medal. Career As a junior skip, Kim led South Korea to three-straight silver medals at the Pacific-Asia Junior Curling Championships. In 2010, she lost in the final to China's Liu Jinli, in 2011 she lost to Japan's Sayaka Yoshimura, and in 2012 she lost to Yoshimura again. Right after juniors in April 2012, Kim earned her first non-junior national title at the South Korean Curling Championships, which are held every spring to qualify the winner as the national team for the following season. Seol Ye-eun
Seol Ye-eun (born August 26, 1996 in Seoul, South Korea) is a South Korean curler from Uijeongbu. She currently plays lead on the Gyeonggi Provincial Office curling team, skipped by Gim Eun-ji. Career Seol joined the Gim Un-chi rink in 2017. They didn't play that many events during the 2017–18 season but still found success finishing runner-up at the Prestige Hotels & Resorts Curling Classic to Rachel Homan and qualifying for the quarterfinals at the Colonial Square Ladies Classic, Karuizawa International and the Glynhill Ladies International. The team had a full schedule for the 2018–19 season with more than ten events and qualifying for the playoffs in five of them. 2016 World Women's Curling Championship
The 2016 World Women's Curling Championship (branded as the 2016 Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ford World Women's Curling Championship presented by Meridian for sponsorship reasons) was held from March 19 to 27 at the Credit Union iPlex in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Team Switzerland won the championship 9–6 over Team Japan. The playoffs made history for Team Japan, which had never made the final before. Satsuki Fujisawa
is a Japanese curler from Kitami, Hokkaido. As a skip, she has won the Japanese national championship six times. Fujisawa skipped the bronze medal-winning Japanese team at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games and the silver medal-winning team at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She is currently the skip of the Loco Solare curling team. Career Fujisawa's junior career began with a championship at the 2008 Pacific Junior Curling Championships over China's Sun Yue. Binia Feltscher (born 13 October 1978 in Chur) is a Swiss retired curler from Flims. She was the skip of the 2014 and 2016 World championship curling teams from Switzerland. From 2006 to 2013 she was known as Binia Feltscher-Beeli. Career Feltscher began curling in 1989 and started skipping in 2007. Feltscher was the third of the Swiss team skipped by Mirjam Ott at the 2006 Winter Olympics, where she won a silver medal. With Ott, Feltscher won silver medals at the European Curling Championships in 2004 and 2005 and a bronze in 2006. Anna Vladimirovna Sidorova (russian: А́нна Влади́мировна Си́дорова; born 6 February 1991) is a Russian curler. She currently skips her own team on the World Curling Tour. Margaretha Sigfridsson (born 28 January 1976) is a Swedish curler who in 2009 was inducted into the Swedish Curling Hall of Fame. Curling career Early career Sigfridsson skipped the Swedish team at the 1997 World Junior Curling Championships, winning the silver medal. Sweden lost in the final game 11–3 to Scotland, skipped by Julia Ewart. Sigfridsson was the Swedish skip at the 2002 Ford World Women's Curling Championship. World Curling Championships
The World Curling Championships are the annual world championships for curling, organized by the World Curling Federation and contested by national championship teams. There are men's, women's and mixed doubles championships, as well as men's and women's versions of junior and senior championships. There is also a world championship for wheelchair curling. The men's championship started in 1959, while the women's started in 1979. The mixed doubles championship was started in 2008. Since 2005, the men's and women's championships have been held in different venues, with Canada hosting one of the two championships every year: the men's championship in odd years, and the women's championship in even years. Gim Eun-ji also known as Gim Un-chi (born January 23, 1990) is a Korean curler from Gyeonggi-do. She currently skips the Gyeonggi Province curling team. Career Gim played as lead in her first world championship at the 2011 Capital One World Women's Curling Championship along with skip Kim Ji-sun. The team struggled finishing in last place with a 2–9 record. At the 2012 World Women's Curling Championship, South Korea made history by making the playoffs for the first time with a 8–3 record. They defeated Canada to advance to the semifinal, but lost a close game against eventual champions Switzerland. They then lost another close game to the Canadians in the bronze medal game, finishing in fourth place.
