Ulduz (Baku Metro)
Ulduz is a subway station of Baku Metro that was opened on 17 April 1970. The length of the Red line of the Baku metro increased by 1.5 km with the commissioning of the "Ulduz" station. On October 28, 1995, a fire broke out on a train moving from Baku metro station "Ulduz" to "Narimanov" station. This event is considered the biggest Baku subway accident in history. Baku Metro () is a rapid transit system serving Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. First opened on 6 November 1967 when Azerbaijan was part of the Soviet Union, its features are typical of former Soviet Union, Soviet systems, including very deep central stations and exquisite decorations that blend traditional Azerbaijani national motifs with Soviet ideology. At present, the system has of bidirectional tracks, made up of three lines served by 27 stations. The metro is the only one in Azerbaijan. Keshla
Keşlə (; Кешлә, کشله; also Keshly, Keshlya, Kəşlə, Keşlä, Kešlæ, Kishly, Kishlya, Kishty, Kişli and Kitly) is a settlement and municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 25,626. The Keshla area is becoming main business district of Baku, Azerbaijan. In the North, it is surrounded by several skyscrapers which are located at H. Aliyev Avenue. However in the South it is neighboring with Baku White City and Babek Business Avenue. History The name Keshla is first mentioned in sources in the 17th century. The former name was Keshlaqishlag.
