Ujung Genteng
Ujung Genteng is a village in an area of Ciletuh Palabuhanratu Geopark the National Geopark in Ciracap District, Sukabumi Regency in West Java, Indonesia, about 80 Kilometers from Sukabumi. Ujung Genteng is famous for its Green Turtle nature reserve, beautiful beaches and waterfalls nearby famous for a turtle conservation of green sea turtle (Chelonia Mydas) a protected animal of our marine fauna. Despite a 6-hour road journey, 90% of visitors to Ujung Genteng still come from Jakarta and Bandung, who visit the area as this is still the nearest beach to these major cities that is virtually untouched. Its white coral beaches are surrounded by coral reef, where locals dive for Lobsters, one of the main sources of income for the people of the area. Sukabumi Regency
Sukabumi Regency (; Sundanese: ) is a regency ''(kabupaten)'' in southwestern Java, as part of West Java province of Indonesia. The regency seat is located in Palabuhan Ratu, a coastal district facing the Indian Ocean. The regency fully encircles the administratively separated city of Sukabumi. Sukabumi () is a landlocked city surrounded by the Sukabumi Regency, regency of the same name (within which it is an enclave and exclave, enclave) in the southern foothills of Mount Gede, in West Java, Indonesia, about south of the national capital, Jakarta. Green Sea Turtle
The green sea turtle (''Chelonia mydas''), also known as the green turtle, black (sea) turtle or Pacific green turtle, is a species of large sea turtle of the family Cheloniidae. It is the only species in the genus ''Chelonia''. Its range extends throughout tropical and subtropical seas around the world, with two distinct populations in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, but it is also found in the Indian Ocean. The common name refers to the usually green fat found beneath its carapace, due to its diet strictly being seagrass, not to the color of its carapace, which is olive to black. The dorsoventrally flattened body of ''C. mydas'' is covered by a large, teardrop-shaped carapace; it has a pair of large, paddle-like flippers.
