Pasar Seni
Central Market Kuala Lumpur is a market in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Background Central Market Kuala Lumpur is situated at Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock (Foch Avenue) and the pedestrian-only section of Jalan Hang Kasturi (Rodger Street), just a few minutes from Petaling Street and adjacent to the Klang River. Established in 1888 as a wet market, the current Art Deco-style building was completed in 1937. It has been designated as a Heritage Site by the Malaysian Heritage Society and is now considered a landmark of Malaysian culture and heritage. History The original building was constructed in 1888 by the British during colonial British Malaya. It was used as a wet market for Kuala Lumpur citizens and tin miners. Decades later, the Wet Market became a vital part of early city life due to its proximity to the Klang bus terminal, a key hub for Kuala Lumpur's feeder bus services and the city's train station. Further expansions occurred in 1889, 1895, 1920, and 1921. By 1933, the wa ...

BRT Sunway Line
The BRT Sunway Line is a bus rapid transit (BRT) line that is part of the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System servicing the southeastern suburbs of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It is the world's first all-electric Bus Rapid Transit system. This line is operated by Rapid Bus and was introduced in 2015 to service the high-density areas of Sunway and Subang Jaya, replacing an earlier proposal plan for the now defunct Sunway Monorail extension. The BRT buses have an exclusive right-of-way on an elevated guideway that is not shared with normal road traffic. This specially-dedicated and grade separated guideway for BRT Sunway Line buses is almost similar to rapid transit elevated railways. However, bus operators other than Rapid Bus, do not have the rights to use it and there is no ramp available from at-grade roads to the elevated guideway. This closed system is dedicated for a high volume of commuters to avoid congestion. However, this system can only be used along the trac ...

Side Platform
A side platform (also known as a marginal platform or a single-face platform) is a platform positioned to the side of one or more railway tracks or guideways at a railway station, tram stop, or transitway. A station having dual side platforms, one for each direction of travel, is the basic design used for double-track railway lines (as opposed to, for instance, the island platform where a single platform lies between the tracks). Side platforms may result in a wider overall footprint for the station compared with an island platform, where a single width of platform can be shared by riders using either track. In some stations, the two side platforms are connected by a footbridge or tunnel to allow safe access to the alternate platform. While a pair of side platforms is often provided on a dual-track line, a single side platform is usually sufficient (trains are usually only boarded from one side) for a single-track line. Layout Where the station is close to a level crossing (g ...

Light Rapid Transit
A medium-capacity system (MCS), also known as light rapid transit or light metro, is a rail transport system with a capacity greater than light rail, but less than typical heavy-rail rapid transit. MCS trains are usually 1 to 4 cars. Most medium-capacity rail systems are automated or use light-rail type vehicles. Since ridership determines the scale of a rapid transit system, statistical modeling allows planners to size the rail system for the needs of the area. When the predicted ridership falls between the service requirements of a light rail and heavy-rail rapid transit or metro system, an MCS project is indicated. An MCS may also result when a rapid transit service fails to achieve the requisite ridership due to network inadequacies (e.g. single-tracking) or changing demographics. In contrast with light rail systems, an MCS or light metro runs on an entirely grade separation, grade separated exclusive right-of-way (transportation), right-of-way, and is therefore completely ...
