UD Melilla
Unión Deportiva Melilla is a List of football clubs in Spain, Spanish football team based in the autonomous city of Melilla. Founded in 1976, it currently plays in , holding home matches at ''Estadio Municipal Álvarez Claro'', with an 8,000 capacity venue. History Founded in 1976 as ''Gimnástico Melilla Club de Fútbol'' after a merger of Melilla CF and ''Club Gimnástico de Cabrerizas'', the club immediately took Cabrerizas' place in Tercera División. Renamed ''Unión Deportiva Melilla'' (as an honour to the club founded in the 1940s) in 1980, it reached Segunda División B in 1987. Estadio Municipal Álvarez Claro
The Estadio Álvarez Claro is a stadium in Melilla, Spain. It is currently used for football (soccer), football matches and it is the home venue of UD Melilla. It was inaugurated on 29 September 1945. 2022–23 Segunda Federación
The 2022–23 Segunda Federación season is the second season for the Segunda Federación, the fourth-highest level in the Spanish football league system. Ninety teams participate, divided into five groups of eighteen clubs each based on geographical proximity. In each group, the champions are automatically promoted to Primera Federación, and the second to fifth placers are qualified to the promotion play-offs. The last five teams in each group are relegated to the Tercera Federación; in addition, the four worst teams classified 13th in their group play in the relegation play-offs, to define the last two relegation places. 1979–80 Copa Del Rey
The 1979–80 Copa del Rey was the 78th staging of the Spanish Cup, the annual domestic cup competition in the Spanish football. The tournament was attended by 226 teams from the main categories of Spanish football. The tournament began on 11 September 1979 and ended on 4 June 1980 with the final, held in Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid. The final was an unusual event as Real Madrid CF faced their reserve team Castilla CF. The final score was 6–1 with Real Madrid getting their fourteenth title. This win added to the league title gave the double (third in their history) and Castilla CF qualified directly for the next edition of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.
