University Endowment Lands
The University Endowment Lands (UEL) is an unincorporated area that lies to the west of the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and adjacent to the University of British Columbia and the lands associated with that campus. Pacific Spirit Regional Park lies within the UEL. The UEL is part of Metro Vancouver. Mail sent to the UEL is addressed to "Vancouver" rather than the UEL. The UEL is administered directly by the province and landowners pay their property taxes directly to the provincial government. In a 1995 referendum, UEL residents voted against establishing a municipal governing body. Geography The University Endowment Lands are located immediately west of the City of Vancouver. VCC–Clark is an elevated station on the Millennium Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is named after the nearby Vancouver Community College (VCC) located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and serves as the western terminus of the Millennium Line. Kootenay Loop
Kootenay Loop is a bus loop in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is the easternmost major transit exchange in the city of Vancouver, with routes serving Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver and the Tri-Cities. Structure and location Kootenay Loop opened on August 20, 1950, and is located on East Hastings Street at its intersection with Kootenay Street. It is less than from Vancouver's border with the city of Burnaby. It is near the Pacific National Exhibition grounds and the Second Narrows Bridge to North Vancouver. It is located just northwest of the Burnaby Transit Centre, which houses the public transit buses for Burnaby. Brentwood Town Centre Station
Brentwood Town Centre (sometimes abbreviated as Brentwood) is an elevated station on the Millennium Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located above Lougheed Highway east of Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. The station is adjacent to the Amazing Brentwood, a mid-size shopping centre. Structure and design Brentwood Town Centre station is the only station in the system that is built on a median, with the entire station footprint located directly above a roadway. The station is also designed to serve as a pedestrian overpass across Lougheed Highway, which required the station platforms to be high above the roadway and a publicly accessible mezzanine/concourse to be built below the platform level.
