Tytherington Rocks F.C. is a football club based in Tytherington, near Thornbury, Gloucestershire, England. The club competes in the and is affiliated to the Gloucestershire County FA. They were formed in 1896 and later on joined the Bristol and Suburban Association Football League . They continued to fluctuate throughout the leagues until they gained the correct ground grading and won the Premier Division One in 1997–98. They joined the Gloucestershire County League in 1998 and after five seasons won promotion, finishing second in 2003–04. For the 2004–05 season they became members of the Hellenic Football League Division One West, the highest level the club has achieved. Tytherington, Gloucestershire
Tytherington is a village in the civil parish of Tytherington and Itchington, in the South Gloucestershire district, in the ceremonial county of Gloucestershire, England, situated south east of Thornbury. The parish population taken at the 2011 census was 666. On 1 April 2023 the parish was renamed from "Tytherington" to "Tytherington and Itchington". To the west of the village is Tytherington Quarry, a limestone quarry incorporating 2 active workings, operated by Hanson plc, and a disused working now designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The former Yate to Thornbury railway branch line passes through the south of the village, with two bridges in the village and a tank engine near the quarry entrance as reminders of the railway. The line now ends at the quarry and is used for the transport of stone, but used to continue through a tunnel under the A38, to Thornbury. Malmesbury () is a town and civil parish in north Wiltshire, England, which lies approximately west of Swindon, northeast of Bristol, and north of Chippenham. The English football league system, also known as the football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in England, with five teams from Wales, one from Guernsey, one from Jersey and one from the Isle of Man also competing.
