FA Vase
The Football Association Challenge Vase, also known as the Isuzu FA Vase for sponsorship reasons, is an annual football competition run by and named after The Football Association (The FA), for teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System. Nearly 600 teams participate in this knockout competition with semi-finals played over two legs. The final is played at Wembley Stadium. The 2025 winners were Whitstable Town, who beat AFC Whyteleafe 2–1 at Wembley Stadium. History Until 1974, football players were categorised as either professionals or amateurs. Amateurs were not paid (at least not officially) by their clubs; amateur clubs had their own national cup competition, the FA Amateur Cup. 2024–25 FA Vase
The 2024–25 FA Vase (known for sponsorship reasons as the Isuzu FA Vase) is the 51st season of the FA Vase, an annual football competition for teams playing in steps 5 & 6 of the English National League System. The competition was played on a regional basis until the 4th round. The Vase was won by Whitstable Town FC, beating AFC Whyteleafe 2-1 in the final, after extra time. Hoddesdon () is a town in the Borough of Broxbourne, Hertfordshire, lying entirely within the London Metropolitan Area and Greater London Urban Area. The Combined Counties Football League is a regional men's football league in south-eastern England with members in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and the western half of Greater London, featuring a number of semi-professional clubs. English Football League System
The English football league system, also known as the football pyramid, is a series of interconnected leagues for men's association football clubs in England, with five teams from Wales, one from Guernsey, one from Jersey and one from the Isle of Man also competing. The system has a hierarchical format with promotion and relegation between leagues at different levels, allowing even the smallest club the theoretical possibility of ultimately rising to the very top of the system, the Premier League. Below that are levels 2–4 organised by the English Football League, then the National League System from levels 5–10 administered by the FA, and thereafter Regional feeder leagues run by relevant county FAs on an ''ad hoc'' basis. Hinckley is a market town in south-west Leicestershire, England, administered by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.
