Tyler John Anderson
Tyler John Anderson (born December 30, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Colorado Rockies, San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers. He played college baseball for the University of Oregon. The Rockies selected Anderson in the first round, with the 20th overall selection, of the 2011 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2016. He is a two-time All-Star. Amateur career Anderson attended Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he played four seasons of varsity baseball. While serving as the assistant coach for the Oregon Ducks baseball team, Andrew Checketts discovered Anderson while pitching against a rival high school. In baseball statistics, earned run average (ERA) is the average of earned runs allowed by a pitcher per nine innings pitched (i.e. the traditional length of a game). Andrew Checketts (born October 8, 1975) is an American college baseball coach and former player. He currently is the head coach of the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos baseball, UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. Playing career Checketts graduated from West Linn High School in West Linn, Oregon and was named 1994 Oregon State High School Player of the Year. He then played one season at Florida Gators baseball, Florida before transferring to Oregon State Beavers baseball, Oregon State for his remaining three years.
