Twice (; Japanese: トゥワイス, Hepburn: ''Tuwaisu''; commonly stylized in all caps) is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment. The group is composed of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. Twice was formed under the television program '' Sixteen'' (2015) and debuted on October 20, 2015, with the extended play (EP) '' The Story Begins'', and has received the honorific title of "The Nation's Girl Group" in their home country. Sana (singer)
Sana Minatozaki (; born December 29, 1996), known mononymously as Sana (; ), is a Japanese singer based in South Korea. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Twice, formed in 2015 by JYP Entertainment, and its subunit MiSaMo, formed in 2023. Career Early life and pre-debut Sana was born on December 29, 1996 in Tennōji-ku, Osaka, Japan, as an only child. Sana stated that she wanted to become a singer and dancer early on and was inspired by the K-pop group Girls' Generation. Sana began training with EXPG in Osaka in 2009, originally planning to be a singer in Japan, rather than South Korea. "Cheer Up" (stylized in all caps) is a song recorded by South Korean girl group Twice. It was released by JYP Entertainment on April 25, 2016, as the lead single from their second extended play '' Page Two''. It was written and composed by Sam Lewis and Black Eyed Pilseung respectively. A major commercial success, the song topped the Gaon Digital Chart and was the best-performing single of 2016 in South Korea. It also won several awards including Song of the Year in two major music awards shows, Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards. The Story Begins
''The Story Begins'' is the debut extended play by South Korean girl group Twice. It was released by JYP Entertainment on October 20, 2015, through KT Music. It features six tracks, including the lead single, " Like Ooh-Ahh", which was composed by Black Eyed Pilseung and is a blend of several different genres. Following the formation of Twice through the survival show '' Sixteen'', which concluded in July 2015, the group made their official debut three months later. ''Sixteen'' (stylized in all caps; ) is a 2015 reality girl group survival show created by JYP Entertainment and Mnet. The show pitted sixteen trainees against one another to secure a spot in the girl group Twice. ''Sixteen'' contestants were assessed not just by their singing and dancing abilities but also their charisma and personality. The show ran from May 5 to July 7 on Mnet for ten episodes. Hepburn Romanization
is the main system of Romanization of Japanese, romanization for the Japanese language.
