Elizabeth Kimberly Tweddle (born 1 April 1985) is a retired English Artistic gymnastics, artistic gymnast. Renowned for her uneven bar and floor routines, she was the first female gymnast from Great Britain to win a medal at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships, European Championships, Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, World Championships, and Olympic Games. Tweddle, known for her consistency and longevity as an elite gymnast, is regarded as a pioneer of the renaissance of British gymnastics at the beginning of the twenty-first century that saw the country's gymnastics programme progress from 'also ran' to consistent global competitiveness, and along with peers such as Vanessa Ferrari of Italy and Isabelle Severino of France, helped begin a period of significant success for western European gymnasts globally. Dominic Tweddle
Dominic Tweddle, , is an English archaeologist specialising in Anglo-Saxon studies. and the former director general of the National Museum of the Royal Navy. Previously he spent time as a research assistant at the British Museum and as the assistant director of the York Archaeological Trust, where he helped develop the Jorvik Viking Centre. He is also an honorary professor at the UCL Institute of Archaeology and the University of Portsmouth. Tweddle is known for his 1992 book on the Coppergate Helmet, which built on the work of Greta Arwidsson and Heiko Steuer to provide a typology of European helmets from the end of the Western Roman Empire to the end of the Viking Age. Don Tweddle Jr. (born 7 September 1979), also known by the nickname of "Twedds", is an Australian former rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s. He played for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks. Isabel May Tweddle
Isabel May (Diana) Tweddle (1875–1945), was an Australian painter. She was a member of the Melbourne Society of Women Painters and Sculptors and the Twenty Melbourne Painters Society Inc. A number of her paintings are in the collections of the Shepparton Art Museum, the National Gallery of Victoria, and the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Biography Tweddle was born Isabel May Hunter on 26 November 1875 in New South Wales. From 1894–1897 she studied at the National Gallery School in Melbourne. There she met fellow artist Ada May Plante. After her studies she began exhibiting at the Victorian Artists Society. Lynn Ferguson Tweddle
Lynn Ferguson Tweddle (born 11 April 1965) is a Scottish writer, comedian, actress, and story coach. The younger sister of comedian Craig Ferguson, she is known for voicing the character of Mac in the animated film ''Chicken Run'' (2000), and its sequel '' Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget'' (2023). From 2009–2011, she was a writer on ''The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'' and has served as a writer for the radio stations BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland. Tweddle Farmstead
The Tweddle Farmstead is a Registered Historic Place located on Beaverdam Road in the Town of Montgomery in Orange County, New York. Built in the early 19th century by Bercoon van Alst, it was added to significantly in the 1830s in the Greek Revival style. This gave the house its current front. Tweddle Place is a residential neighbourhood in the Millbourne community in the Mill Woods area of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is named for a former city commissioner, Malcolm Tweddle. Tweddle V Atkinson
is an English contract law case concerning the principle of privity of contract and consideration. Its panel of appeal judges reinforced that the doctrine of privity meant that only those who are party to an agreement (outside of one of the well-established exceptional relationships such as agency, bailment or trusteeship) may sue or be sued on it and established the principle that "consideration must flow from the promisee". Facts John Tweddle and William Guy mutually agreed in writing to pay sums of money (£100 and £200, respectively) to Tweddle's son William (who was engaged to Guy's daughter). Guy then died before payment. John Tweddle died before he could sue for the money from Guys estate. When the estate would not pay, William Tweddle then sued Mr Atkinson, the executor of Guy's estate, for the promised £200. Tweeddale (Scottish Gaelic: ''Srath Thuaidh/Tuaidhdail'') is a committee area and lieutenancy area in the Scottish Borders council area in south-eastern Scotland. It had also been a province in the Middle Ages. From 1975 to 1996 it was a local government district. Its boundaries correspond to the historic county of Peeblesshire.
