Tulloch F.C.
Tulloch Football Club was an association football club from the village of Tulloch, Perth and Kinross, Tulloch in Perthshire. History The club was formed in 1884, William Pearson being elected as first club captain and James Paul as first club secretary. The club first played in the Perthshire Cup in the 1885–86 season, but struggled in its early years, on occasion going into abeyance due to the recruitment of its better players to better clubs, most notably Fair City Athletic F.C., Fair City Athletic, which persuaded the McLaren brothers, Barclay, Kinnoch, and Condie to switch allegiance in the 1880s and 1890s. It joined the Scottish Football Association in 1898, in time to play in the Scottish Qualifying Cup in 1898–99. In the same year, it was one of the seven smaller Perthshire clubs which agreed to form the Perthshire League, the club's secretary John Traill taking the pen at the league as well. Alloa Athletic
Alloa Athletic Football Club is a Scottish association football semi-professional club based in the town of Alloa, Clackmannanshire. Formed as Alloa in 1880, the football club shortly changed its name to Alloa Association, and then to Alloa Athletic in 1881. Upon joining the Scottish Football League in 1921 they returned to Alloa, before reverting to Alloa Athletic in 1997. The club compete in Scottish League One as a member of the Scottish Professional Football League. The club was elected to the second tier of the Scottish Football League in 1921–22, earning promotion to the top flight in its first season after winning the Second Division. Sandy McLaren
Alexander McLaren (25 December 1910 – 5 February 1960) was a Scottish footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. Born in Tibbermore, Perthshire, McLaren played club football for St Johnstone in the Scottish Football League and Leicester City in The Football League. He earned five caps for Scotland in 1929 and 1932, and remains St Johnstone's most capped player for Scotland, as well as the joint-first to debut (Willie Imrie played in the same match – they were the only serving players from the club to be selected until Murray Davidson in 2012). McLaren was one of only four 18-year-olds to play for Scotland during the 20th century, the others being Denis Law, Paul McStay and Willie Henderson. Blackford (Scottish Gaelic: ''Srath Gaoithe'') is located in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, approximately from the town of Auchterarder. The village is located just off the A9 between Perth and Stirling which has been bypassed since 1978. It is home to Highland Spring water and the Tullibardine whisky distillery. Prehistory Archaeological work between 2006-08 ahead of the development of a golf course found extensive remains of prehistoric settlements.
