Tuborg Pilsener Spor Kulübü (in English: Tuborg Pilsener Sports Club) was a professional basketball club based in İzmir, Turkey. History The club was founded in 1971 in İzmir, under the name Izmir Swimming Specialization Club Association ("İzmir Yüzme İhtisas Kulübü Derneği") as a specialized sports club. On May 23, 1978 the club was included in the Yaşar Holding Club and has been named Tuborg Swimming Specialization Club Association. In 1989 the club adopted the name Spring Swimming Specialization Club-Society and in 1992 renamed to Tuborg S.K. changed as the club is primarily funded by the company that bears the name and supported. The basketball branch was established in 1993. On July 18, 2003 the club changed its name to Tuborg Pilsener. After the 2005–06 season, club has decided to withdraw from Turkish League. İzmir Atatürk Volleyball Hall
İzmir Atatürk Volleyball Hall () is a volleyball venue located in the district of Alsancak in İzmir, Turkey. After serving as the indoor sport hall for competitions of basketball, volleyball and handball for 40 years, it has been rebuilt to serve as the volleyball hall of the city and has a capacity of 6,000 people. Along with other local teams, İzmir's volleyball powerhouse Arkas plays its matches in this hall. International events hosted İzmir Atatürk Volleyball Hall hosted basketball games of the Universiade 2005, which was held between August 11 and 21 2005 in İzmir. Tuborg is a Danish brewing company founded in 1873 on a harbour in Hellerup, to the north of Copenhagen, Denmark. Since 1970 it has been part of the Carlsberg Group. The brewery's flagship, the Tuborg pilsner, was brewed for the first time in 1880. History The name ''Tuborg'' comes from ''Thuesborg'' ("Thue's castle"), a Copenhagen inn from the 1690s situated in the area of the brewery. FIBA EuroCup Challenge
The FIBA EuroCup Challenge was the 4th-tier level transnational professional continental club basketball competition in Europe, organised by FIBA Europe. However, it was Europe's 3rd-tier level club basketball competition in its inaugural 2002–03 season. The competition was founded in 2003, following a conflict between FIBA Europe and ULEB during the 2001–02 season, as an attempt by FIBA to expand their secondary tournament held during the previous season, the FIBA Europe Regional Challenge Cup, by merging it with the FIBA Europe Champions Cup. The 2003–04 FIBA Europe Cup was the second season of the FIBA Europe Cup. After its first season as FIBA's revived' ''Champions Cup'' the competition was renamed and now considered Europe's fourth level professional club basketball tournament. However it kept the previous competition system dividing the teams in conferences and the three top teams would now automatically qualify to FIBA Europe League 's following season.
